𝒞𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒖𝒔's Den

The Eisengrotte Pride. They dwell in an isolated, frigid part of the Northern Mountains and are said to have hearts as cold as the constant blizzards that rage across the mountains. All false pretense, one would assume. Most think of them to be a myth, as those who venture out to find the Eisengrottes usually come back with nothing but frostbite and the word of bare traces on the mountains that may or may not belong to lions.

In truth, the rumoured Pride shelters in deep caves in the mountaintops known only to their own. Any traveller arrogant enough to think they were able to travel up there without risking freezing off their fur or falling off a mountainside were dealt with by the icy blizzards and unstable, rocky paths. There is yet to be a lion experienced enough to navigate their way up the hidden, twisting paths that carve their way through the heart of the mountains and arrive to the Eisengrotte's territory.

The fabled lions themselves are built with thick fur capable of rivalling the raging winds and muscular legs able to spring from outcrop to outcrop. Their paw pads are thick and calloused to prevent injuries when jumping from great heights, or stepping on the many sharp stones that adorn the mountaintops. Their eyes are accustomed to the shadows of the mountains. No murky crevice would be able to shelter a piece of prey well enough from an Eisengrotte lion. Their tails are thick and strong, allowing them to leap great distances and giving them the advantage over swift prey. The hunters are cold, calculative and cunning; all essential needs in order to survive the harsh environment. Newborn cubs either learn to adapt, or die. It is a cruel world in the mountains.
