Fenric the Wise's Den

The golden grasses of the plains glimmer under the burning sun, each blade rippling with the refreshing winds. In the centre of the plains stands a giant baobab tree, its grand canopy providing much needed shade, and the caverns within its roots providing shelter and safety. This is the home of the Pride of Elysium.

The First King of Elysium was a noble lion named Eldrynn, named by one of the broad savannah's human rangers for he had been given no name before. With his kindness and ability to stand tall in the face of adversity, he and his beloved Llerynn earned the respect of many to form the Pride of Elysium. But in a devastating blow, the Pride had not been long together when he fell victim to poachers.

Fenric had been a good friend to Eldrynn, but was still new to the lands. With Eldrynn's son still but a newborn, Llerynn urged Fenric to step forth and take the crown - whilst he did not have Eldrynn's charisma and daring, he had wisdom and strength. "Lead us," she said, "and we will follow. You still have much to learn of Elysium, but you are not alone."
