The One Who Seeks Glory's Den

The sight you are greeted with as you step into this unknown territory is a unique one. Cubs race past you, tripping over their own paws and biting at each other. They don't seem to mind a newcomer, too invested in their own game.
Lionesses watch them wearily, visibly exhausted from the trials of motherhood.
What really catches your eye is the large pile of prey near the middle of the area, the freshness of the smells luring you closer. Just as you sneak close enough to grab a morsel, you hear a loud growl that can't possibly be your stomach. Slowly, you look up at a large king towering over you. He was unlike anything you've ever seen, except in the elder's stories.
A primal.
He steps forward, his posture rigid and his teeth bared.
?- This is no place for a thief. We already have too many mouths to feed.
He pauses, noticing your longing look at the food, and his gaze turns kinder.
?- What are you doing in a place like this? This is far from home.
?- ...
?- Fine, rest your weary paws here for a moment, then be on your way. You can eat whatever is left when the others are done.
With that, he pads away to train some adolescents.
