As you explored, you were met with the loud, rushing sound of water nearby. You were parched from the walking you had been partaking in, and allowed yourself a drink. As you approached closer to the sound, a few bits of branches and limbs gave way, and you were met with a bustling pride. They dragged leftover carcasses towards the far edge of the brush as hoards of cubs chased after their mothers’ tails while they worked. A river sat in between a clearing, a log fallen across it for easy transportation, both sides occupied with movement and energy. Many were nursing their young, in fact, and you had a feeling of alienation. Just as you were about to turn tail and leave the pride in peace, you heard a growl. From off to your side, a grey-like male charged forward to you. You flinched at his protective demeanor, but didn’t back down. The opposite, in fact, you squared your shoulders, stating your business. The other male didn’t respond with anything besides a loud snarl. As you two had an unspoken battle, a different lion came up behind the grey; a tan and orange lion that looked a fair amount kinder than the other. He introduced himself as Liash, and introduced his subordinate and heir, Michaela at the same time. The grey male instinctively relaxed as the King showed himself. The duo were definitely dynamic, you realized as you engaged in a chat. Their bantering was fairly humourous, leaving you with a grin as you departed, a long while later. It seems like you’ve made a new ally, or two, you thought as you left their territory’s borders, back to where you were before.
