The air is stale, too hot, too sticky. The whole pride is miserable, lionesses growling and huffing their discontent. Argusto busies himself in his den for a few moments, coming out with some roots and batting them towards his pridemembers. They all share looks of confusion, with some snarling, thinking it was some sort of joke. "Eat it. There is water in it, it will quench your thirst." He mumbles around the root he currently settled down to chomp on. Many sets of uncertain eyes bored into him as he continued to carefully chew the root, and eventually earned the water he had worked towards. He intentionally soaked his lips in it and some of his chin fur, standing up and turning around a few times so his wet fur was on full display. Slowly, lionesses started nibbling at their own water roots, eager to get some water as well. Argusto let out a heavy sigh of relief. Well, at least the water issue had been settled...now for prey...luckily he'd made his lionesses hunt extra hard last month so they had a lot of food stockpiled up, he just hoped it would last.
