I know this topic has gone around and even died a few times. Nonetheless I'm bringing it back up. Why? I was reminded of it lately, and until something is done, I won't be spending a single cent on custom lionesses.

Also, this is going to be a matter fact of point here. This is a suggestion for lioness custom designs to be copied onto another lioness, with stats reset, just like what you can do with custom lions. If you would like to suggest another option with the same result then post away. But only with that same result. If you want the lioness to live longer, have special breeding powers, etc this is not what this thread is about so please do not post anything of that sort here and start your own suggestion thread about it.

On the Oasis page is says Customize Your Lion and Create a Custom Lioness.
When you customize your main lion he gets a makeover. This means you are paying for the design.
When you create a custom lioness, it creates a whole new lioness instead of giving one of your current lionesses a makeover. You are still paying for a design and getting a lioness as well.
When your male dies, your have the choice of coping his design onto your new male. This also resets the stats to default.
The ability to copy the lions design onto another male is the only special feature of a custom lion.
When custom lioness die, so do their designs and you must re-spend the same amount of GB as you did before if you want to recreate that female. Of which, will have basic stats.
When the question of whether custom lionesses designs could be copied like lion designs, it seemed as if staff avoided the question like a plague until they no longer could and confirmed that they in fact no not have the same ability as male lions oasis design wise.


For those of you concerned with overbreeding - keeping the design would not cause overbreeding. Even if someone currently does not remake a custom lioness they'll simply find another lioness to fill that spot and keep breeding anyways.

For those of your concerned with Lioden's amount of donations. The current way harms and hinders Lioden more than it helps. The way it is, players are going to be less willing to create signature lionesses that are special to them that also costs 14-19 GBs. They will be looking at the long term cost of keeping that lionesses design, exactly how they want it, alive. Again to make a point of breeding. Most players would be making this type of lioness just for their self. Taking consideration of the recurring cost, who would want to even buy GBs to begin with to make a signature/fursona/whatever lioness?


A compromise? Well, yes. The ability to pay a one time fee, per lioness, of 5 GB for the ability to keep a lionesses design and copy it onto one existing lioness cub (that the player owns and if they still own the oasis lioness), and only if that Oasis Lioness is dead. Also in addition, just like when coping a male lion's design, the lioness cub's stats would be reset to basic stats regardless of what they were before. The coping design ability would become permanent if the one time 5GB fee is paid and you'll always be able to maintain at max one lioness with the design.

Why is this a fair compromise? One, there is a 5 GB difference in price between an oasis lion and an oasis lioness. Second, the original lioness would still remain dead. Third, there is no advantage to this and only the comfort of keeping a design. You may argue breeding and markings and such, but truth is, it's a moot point because the original lioness most likely still had a few cubs that were produced with similar markings, most likely the female wouldn't be overbred to preserve lines of the design, and third that market is already over flooded with custom colors and markings. Point is, if the lioness is not special a player will not spend 5 GB to keep a lioness design and either make a new oasis lioness, or keep/buy a cub for stat reasons.

How is this a compromise then? It's a compromise for those who don't give a crap about stats for a certain lioness/es and want to preserve a design that they find special without it costing them a butt load where unlike on most sites customs die on Lioden. Also, with just having this option, players would feel more relaxed to create oasis lioness and may possibly do so more freely if they have the GB.


Okay, so what would happen is an oasis lioness is sold to another player? Well, lets think about it. If the 5 GB option doesn't show up until the lioness is dead, then that solves that problem. If not, I would suggest the fee be applied to the player and not the lioness, but is only applicable if the lioness is on that players account. Meaning, Player 1 pays the 5 GB to keep the lioness' design. Player 1 sell's said lioness to Player 2. Player 2 would need to pay a 5 GB fee as well to use the lioness' desgin after her death. Now, whether Player 2 pays the fee or not, if the lioness does not die on Player 1's account then Player 1 won't be able to use the design and the 5 GB will not be refunded either. If Player 2 does pay the fee, and the lioness dies on the account, then Player 2 would be able to copy the lioness onto a female cub.

Now, what happens if Player 2 sells the cub to Player 3? One of two things. Either female cubs with copied designs can be account bound. Or Player 2 just wouldn't be able to copy the oasis lioness' design onto another cub until the current cub with the design is dead. Meaning, there can only be one lioness with the design copy at a time exactly like the male lions. Since Player 2 owns the oasis lioness, Player 3 wouldn't be able to use the copy design.

However, there are some other solutions. A. Lionesses with the fee paid are make account bound no matter age, as well as the cub with the design copied to it. B. The 5 GB fee is only available to the player to make the oasis lioness. For those of you concerned with donations for Lioden den though, these other options would cut into it. If oasis lioness designs are usable by anyone who owns the dead lioness if the 5GB paid, and the 5GB is payable at any point during it's like, it opens up another reason for players to donate.

Some may buy an old oasis lioness only to pay the 5gb to continuously use the design. Why? One simple answer is roleplays. Another is that they make just like the design so much they want to keep it around. A third, is as said, that the design may in some way be special to a player. That said...
