Okay... This is a small suggestion but...

We all know that there are a group of animals in each biome for us to meet, fight or interact with. And there are the enemy lions.

Mostly however we have no chance to even see a type of animal at exploring because all you meet are enemy lions! Seriously... I went to see the rate, and I can tell that for me they pop up sometimes at more than 70% of my encounters.

Because of this they push out other types of animals, quests basically become harder than they should be because you never meet the targets, just lions.

So my suggestion:
Lower the rate of how many times you meet enemy lions.

Additions:
Perhaps the rate would depend on the fact if you sharpened your claws that day. That feature could act as marking your territory -perhaps it should be even renamed as such.

If you didnt sharpen your claws, then the lions will appear just as frequently as now, because they are more daring to come in -for those who need lions for quests. If you sharpened your claws, then their frequency will be significantly less.

Thanks for reading.

I love this idea, because I think we've all had that frustrating moment on a quest where we can't find those rhinos or wild dogs because of all the lions popping up instead.

Given that lions are found in every biome, their frequency is understandably higher. It's not that their frequency is adjusted higher, it's just that there are more lions than there are.. say.. wildebeest, cheetahs, leopards, etc.

And that is a very annoying problem, especially when questing, when only male lions pop up through the whole 100% explore run. You do mark your territory, so I think we should make the frequency a slightly bit lower if so. I dont think a real life lion meets so many rogues on a day on his territory, especially when they know this land is taken. Highly unrealistic, especially when you beat them over and over. They still dont learn and simply come right back for a next round.

I have no problem in them popping up in all biomes, just that they are causing frustration a lot of time when it comes to quests. They are one reasons -no, actually the only reason- why some quests seem to be impossible to complete. Instead of the animal you seek, you only find lions. Five times in a row... Does the staff think about solving this one?

You don't have to fight them anymore though, you can just walk right on past.

The problem with this is even with them popping up and me walking past it doesnt solve the problem....
Walking away from them also costs 1-3 points of energy, and all I see on explore in 85-90% are male lions. They simply pop up instead of any other animal. It seems like they block the chance for other animals to appear. They take their place all too many times.

you dont have to fight every lion you encounter - click explore again ;)

what's the different between a lion and "while exploring, you should explore more while you explore" type messages?

I know that, but as I said, the problem is that no matter how many NPCs I encounter 85% is always lion, thus even if I dont fight them, when a NPC pops up, it is 85% time always lion. Nothing else. Which is annoying and hinders questing.

I support this. I almost never complete quests where I have to fight a certain animal, because I can hardly find them, I mostly meet lions. You can walk away from them, but you still waste a bit of energy and then more lions pop up. It really does seem that the chances of meeting lions are higher than for any other animal.

Then there are quests like the one to slay hooved prey or apes and you have to fight 3-6 of them, but I've never seen more than 1-3 a month and I play for a few hours every day. You have to be glued to the computer for hours and hours if you want to find them.

Maybe if there was only one or two lions per region then they will be less likely to appear. It will be like you are encountering a lion that lives at that region and so he can only be found in his region, well except for ncp lion that is consider an outcast.
