We all know that hyenas hassle lions for their food after a kill, right? But what about during the wet season? In the documentary film The Last Lioness (which I highly recommend), the lioness in question was shown sharing her food with Hyenas and not bothering to chase them off from fresh kills during the wet season.

So, what if we implement something like that here? During the wet season, you can run into a band of starving hyenas. You could;
1- Kill the closest and instigate a fight (Bad Karma+battle)
2- Share your food (Good Karma+EXP/Impression or Beetles IF you have a carcass to give them)
3- Chase them off (Neutral Karma, no fight but EXP/Impression boost)

During the dry season, these roving bands would act like any other enemy, but give a bit more exp if you win or take a carcass (if there are any in your inventory) if you lose.

Now, onto the humans. I was thinking of two different types; Poachers and Scientists.

Poachers would be hunting for animals, namely elephant calves, baby gorillas, ect.
You would then have the option of;
1-Evil: Attack them (Initiating a battle) and giving you the option to claim the spoils (carcasses)
2-Neutral: Attempt to lay in wait and observe. If you are successful, you gain EXP+Energy for your efforts as you've observed them and were able to avoid detection. If you fail at this, you must fight and can claim the spoils (carcasses).
3- Good: Attempt to scare them off (gaining you impression if you win). If you don't, you must fight. After you win, you may free the captives, who are so enamored by you, they share what little beetles they have.

Scientists would be another beast all together. They would be attempting to capture a lioness, and you would have the option to;
1-Evil: Kill them all and claim the lioness for yourself (Initiating a battle). If you win, you claim her.
2-Neutral: Attempt to lay in wait and free her when they're not looking (A failed attempt initiates a battle). If you win the battle, you claim her. If you free her, she's so enamored by you that she requests to join anyways.
3-Good: Attempt to scare them off and claim the lioness for yourself (a failed attempt initiates a battle). If you win, you free the lioness and claim her.
