I agree with you wholeheartedly. The SB amount doesn't need to be super high, just a small amount that encourages members to chase lions rather than spamming up the trades, etc.

Stats could come into play as well, along with colours and markings.

I really seeing this as a benefit to the economy and the extreme amount of lions the database has to keep up with :3

I really like this idea! Not so sure about waiting five days to chase off an NCL, though- I know a lot of people only claim them for the Impression and then immediately chase them off after cooldown.

What I would like if people would realize that having so many lions has consequences. Like, not having enough food or the lions clogging their prides, they cant survive without paying a lot of SB.

And not by the devs adjusting the game to make it easier for them.

If you have time to play, then by all means, have as many lions as you want. If you lack the time, lack the food and struggle to keep so many lions, then be smart and chase it off.

No need to reward anyone for something so easy and so simple. Easy: push that tiny little button, and you have one more space and free up space on the server as well.

I am completely against the idea to reward anyone for something so small and insignificant. Once more you would reward those who breed mindlessly, while you leave those who actually are careful and dont need to chase empty handed.

I ask here again: What do you give those who watch the economy? How would you reward them? Do you spit in their faces and say: You dont breed so you dont deserve anything!

And btw, if they say 'free lion', simply ignore them. people will not get free lions that dont look pretty, neither have any stats. leave them be. They cant sell them anyway and wont be able to give them away. The economy will righten itself with time.

I agree with Axel. Also, I don't think it would be good for the economy. If I'm understanding your idea correctly, People could mass produce specific coat colors and chase them and get SB. That lion is then out of the market, and more "new" SB "enters" the game, instead of receiving the SB that was already a part of the game from another player. With such an easy way to make "SB," it would cause inflation. Also, having such a long cool down would arise a new issue for people who farm for impression progress from charming NCLs.

Well this is sort of a real life based game; yes it has all these cute odd nicknacks but people are always going to breed their lionesses, rather they are high statted or not. Even the players who watch the economy and try not to breed their lions when they come in heat, a lot of them still mass breed and with that comes mass production of cubs. The fact that the average birth of numbers was actually lowered and 4 cubs are now considered rare is a start to helping out the economy, yes. The whole farming for impression is a bit of a drag to begin with. It would be easy to ignore the spam of NCL/Free in Trade Center if there was more than just 1 page to look at and go through.

Not everyone is mass breeding. There are people who are watching what they are doing, planning their breeding carefully to breed only a specific limited number of cubs, and make sure that if they breed, it not only has a nice color combination, but also good stats. Those are careful breeders, or those who truly arent mindlessly producing cubs, but set a limit for themselves. So even if their cubs arent in much value, they still limit themselves. And there are those who might want the extra SB, but arent breeding at all for the market.

Basically what you would do with this kind of reward is not discourage massbreeding, but encourage it. People would do twice as great breeding because they KNOW they will get money, no matter how much. So they happily mass-produce and set them all first in the market, to see if they get more for it than with chasing. These cubs will land on the market anyway, and there ya go, you encouraged it even more.

And as someone else said on another thread: the market with righten itself with time. I already see posts, rants and chat posts talking about them quitting breeding because it is impossible to sell. Those people quit the market, and will not breed. Less cubs in the market. There will be more who realize it, and will quit also, concentrating on something else. Plus there is market for everything. Cheap and ugly cubs are mostly bought by new players or those who just prefer strange colors. Nice colored lions go to color hoarders, good statted cubs go to everyone basically.

I say we should leave the market alone. Just be patient, sit back, get a bag of popcorn and watch the drama.
