A raw, feral growl ripped from his throat as he slowly gained conciousness and stumbled to his hands and knees. Both his right arm and his head ached, though he quickly decided the splitting headache was the worse of the two evils.

His silver eyes slowly trailed up to stare blankly at the man in front of him while the arm that was not currently throbbingly numb clutched a blanket tighter around his shoulders.

"How long did I last?" He asked, visably wincing from the huskiness in his own voice.

"Not even an hour. You're getting worse and worse, Draco. At this rate we'll have to sedate you before your shift."

Another growl ripped from Draco's throat as he glared at the man. "That wasn't part of the deal."

"There's not much else we can do, Draco. You already have a cell to yourself, nobody nears the cage exceot to offer food, it's not our fault you keep attacking."

"It is your fault I feel threatened!" Draco snapped, his teeth bared in a wild, wolfish manner and the man before him simply rolled his eyes and tossed the werewolf's clothes to him. "Just get dressed, your emergency contact will be here soon to pick you up." He said as he turned to move into next room.

Draco stared at him disbelievingly even as he pulled on his jeans, t-shirt, and leather jacket. "You did not call my girlfriend. Tell me you did not call Hermione Granger." He demanded.

"You gave us no choice. You've getting move violent, and right now we can only be lead to believe you're not taking your Wolfsbane potions regularly. Draco, if this happens again, we will be forced to revoke all your magic privilages and you will be assigned to a healer in St. Mungo's that will make sure you take your potions." The man warned gravely causing the young werewolf to roll his eyes to the ceiling as he heavily fell down onto a wooden chair to await his girlfriend with an apprehensive hand over his face.

"Hermione is going to kill me."

"DRACO HYPERION MALFOY!"

Hermione screeched as she stormed through the building she dubbed as a 'prison'. She couldn't believe he'd never told her he was a Werewolf. Not one word. She supposed in a way she should have realised it herself. He had been a lot more possessive and friskier lately but with getting so much more responsibility in her Apprenticeship she had been very busy. She hadn't been busy enough, however, to not notice how he seemed disappear frequently. She had managed to work out it was during the period when she was the most fertile. She had thought maybe he was having an affair (during her low moments) or planning an extensive Christmas gift for her (during her high moments). She knew she should have just out right asked him about the disappearances but she hadn't wanted to hear anything that could come close to her worst fears...

'Its not you, its me.'

'Waiting for you is like waiting for rain, and with her... its raining ALL the time.'

Well, maybe not quite like that. He'd probably say something else but she was the bookworm. Potty's Swotty Sidekick. The Brightest Witch of her Generation. Hermione Granger. She had a bit of excess weight on her tummy, she wore jumpers with holes in them and comfortable jeans with an elastic band around the top with uncontrollable, wild, frizzy, brown hair. She was never going to be a catch like Ginny Weasley - pureblood, curves in all the right places, flexible and athletic, as well as naturally flirtacious. Hermione didn't know how to flirt - and she'd tried to find books on it too! Honestly, she didn't know how she ended up with Draco Malfoy. She didn't understand why she hadn't scared him off with her awful, clumsy attempts at flirting. She must have ruined ten one of a kind designer suits in the first week of their dating alone...

"Get out of my way!"

She snapped to the man that had been previously talking to her boyfriend. She then spun on said boyfriend, hands on her hips as she looked down at him with fire in her eyes. To outsiders it would look like the bars of the holding cell would melt under that look alone.

"How could you do this to me?! You traipse around in this prison-"

"Its a holding cell Miss."

Hermione spun back on the man who had spoken and practically growled at him herself.

"SHUT UP AND SIT DOWN!"

The man promptly did so, his expression showing he now knew why Mr Malfoy did not want his girlfriend brought in.

Hermione then spun back around to face Draco, taking in a deep breath before speaking again although it was slightly calmer in tone.

"You traipse around in this prison for days at a time every month, you drive me insane with worry that you realise you could have done better - like a supermodel or something - and in the end you're just a Werewolf?! How could you do that to me?!"

She snapped, ending up in sobs by the end as she wrapped her arms around herself as the emotional rollercoaster she had been on since she heard finally caught up with her.

The moment he heard Hermione shouting his name, Draco's eyes went wide in petrified terror. She hadn't used that tone of voice with him since they were in school together. By the time Hermione had entered thr room, he was already in the most submissive posw he could place himself in, with his shoulders hunched and his head low, even as he looked up to tentatively meet Hermione's gaze.

"'Just a Werewolf?!' I'd like to see you deal with lycanthropy, it's no picnic."

Draco thought moodily, though kept his face cautiously blank until Hermione had finished her tirade. He slowly stood up and took a cautious step towards her, reaching up to gently pull her chin up so she'd be looking me in the eyes once more.

"Hermione, I didn't tell you I'm a werewolf because I didn't want to loose you."

His words were soft, but still sincere as he leaned forward to puntuate this point with a tender kiss.

I didn't want to scare you off. Werewolves... we're dangerous. I have to be so careful everyday so I don't change you into a monster like me, and cut off twenty years from your lifespan. Even the smallest papercut has the potention to change you, forever."

As he spoke more, his own gaze became downcast, his voice holding an underlying whine with each word.

"I could never do better than you, 'Mione, you're the only girl out there for me. I'd been so stupidly horrid to you in Hogwarts, I thought if you found out I was a werewolf..."

"How could you think that of me?! My best friend's Uncle by bond is a Werewolf, and I created and led S.P.E.W! If anyone would understand in the whole wide world Draco Malfoy its me!"

Sure, S.P.E.W might not have been the best idea but it had been done with the best of intentions. She did understand House Elves a lot better now and knew they didn't want or need her help. At least not most of them. Some did live in abusive households but when that happened they did usually go to Harry for help since he had managed to free Dobby from the Malfoys.

"I'm made of tougher stuff then that Draco. You saw me as I refused to give into Bellatrix despite the cursed scar on my arm, the crucios, and promise to give me to Greyback when she was done... Which brings me to that stupid monster comment!"

With that she put her arm through the bars and hit him over the head, not at all afraid of his inner beast retaliating.

"You are NOT a monster. I saw a monster almost kill the best Professor I have ever seen with a snake. Don't you dare cast yourself into his lot! Besides which, I may be called crazy but I find it just a little... um... well... you know... that you're a Werewolf. Infact, Whatever you have running through your veins isn't a curse. Its just a condition spread through blood and saliva when a Werewolf is in its true form. It says so in the 'Book of Werewolves and other such beings'."

Of course they both knew she had written that book shortly after re-taking her seventh year at Hogwarts. She mostly used Bill Weasley and memories of Remus Lupin as a basis for the Werewolf portion, talked to the Mermaids at Hogwart's Lake, talked to the Delacours when it came to the Veelas, and the D'Eaths about Vampires. She was the first to gain the absolute truth of it all. What no one knew is she had seen Greyback at Azkaban, a lot calmer (and less insane) then he used to be. She had a feeling he had been pumped with drugs for a long time, probably unknown to him until it was too late and he was addicted, so the stay in Azkaban had helped him clean his system. Anyway, Fenrir was quite the gentleman - all be it crude and completely primal - sober and helped a lot with her book. It was fascinating the lies he had spread - and thus the populas believed - about Werewolves. The truth was so interesting that she could have sat there for months and listened to his rough, clearly very unused voice, talk about it.

"I love you Draco Hyperion Malfoy and nothing short of cheating could make me want to be away from you."

"There is a difference in fighting for a rights of something, and actually dealing with that something everyday. 'Mione, I hid behind my fellow Slytherin's for seven years, am I really the most likely for a self-confidence of the year award?"

Draco asked tentatively, recoiling as she reached into the cage and smacked him despite the action bringing his wolfish teeth out to play as he shook his head in a way akin to a dog trying to get over a shock. Nobody within the building dared mess with Draco right after the full moon while he was still overflowing with werewolf hormones, but that's why he needed Hermione. She'd keep in line even when he didn't want to be. He had such a deep desire to please her due to the bond between them, and it was like nothing he'd ever felt before.

She knew a lot, but she didn't know everything, and part of that was how it actually felt to be a werewolf in the wizarding community. There was so much stigma surrounding them, and it didn't help his case in the slightest that he was a Malfoy and even had a small stint in Azkaban right after the war. She couldn't understand how he felt about this, but at the same time, she didn't really need to understand. The glares cast his way when his name was mentioned, the whispers of 'werewolf' and 'death eater' behind his back to forever haunt him. No amount of interjection could change that, either.

Draco slowly reached through the bars of his cell to gently caress Hermione's cheek with the back of his hand. There were so many things he wished he could tell her, but the fear that devoured him from the inside out prohibited that.

"I love you too, Hermione Jean Granger. More than anything."

He whimpered softly, pulling back his hand for only a moment as the door of the cage slid open so he could step out and wrap his arms around his beautiful, perfect girlfriend.

"And I can't wait to show you that love."

He added, his voice a low, raw growl in her ear as a slow smirk spread across his features. Here was the Draco she knew.

"Draco!"

Hermione gasped in mortification and supreme pleasure, her face going bright red from blushing as she buried her face into the side of his neck. She did love it when he took charge. To her he had always been Superman. He always held his head up high and he could do anything. He didn't let his father's past get him down, and when it came down to it he refused to give away his peers when they were nothing but children. He may not be Harry Potter who, despite being a good guy and best friend, was flooded with fame and god knows how many merchandise with his face on it but Draco Malfoy - in her opinion - was just as much of a hero as Harry was. Infact she had always felt, once she had been given all the facts and got to know Draco personally, he had been following Severus Prince's own footsteps.

As much as she hated that she sounded a bit like Lavendar and that lot she did find herself giggling a little at Draco's antics. She pulled back a little, her gaze softening as she looked her boyfriend in the eyes. A hint of vunerability was in her eyes as she did her best to reach out to him.

"You can tell me anything Draco. You... you believe that right? You - You trust me? L-like I trust you. I... I tell you everything. You know things about me no one else does... I-if I ever get in trouble I know you'll be there for me. Y-you're everything to me. Y-you feel the same way right? Y-you were going to tell me... weren't you?"

Hermione hated feeling so fragile and vulnerable but she couldn't help it. She couldn't help but wonder though if he had intended on keeping him being a Werewolf a secret forever, that he had hit it so well in the first place, then what else could he be hiding? Was their dead bodies in his wardrobe? Was there another woman in every city in the UK? Was he actually gay and using her as a front as he was still in denial? Did his inner beast, his wolf, despise her? Did he have to fight against his inner wolf every day just to be with her?

She hated being called a Know-It-All but in this... she knew she couldn't be in a relationship where she was always wondering what her partner was not saying. She needed trust and before this she thought Draco had trusted her with everything. When she was around it looked like everyone at least respected him if not liked or loved him. What if they didn't and he was seeking comfort in another? Was she or her bosom not good enough for him to find comfort in? She knew he was probably frustrated she was waiting for marriage but their relationship had appeared so strong, so perfect, that she'd never felt insecure in the slightest. Now... now she felt more insecure then ever. It reminded her of that night at Hogwarts where she had cried in the bathroom over Ron's cruel words.

Draco frowned as Hermione questioned him, and part of him knew there would come a time, if he answered this question dishonestly, that could prove a serious strain on his and Hermione's relationship. No matter how terribly he'd treated her in school, he couldn't risk their relationship over a bit of insecurity on his part.

"Hemione... I love you, and I trust you more than anyone else. I'm sorry I kept this... part of me from you for so long. I wanted to tell you, I just didn't know how. There's nothing unrelated to the lycanthropy that I've kept from you, I promise. You're my world, and I don't wanna loose you."

His words were soft, for this was not a conversation he wanted to be overheard by the wizard in charge of the section they kept him in.

"Let's go home, I'll tell you everything there, I promise."

The offer was one which he was nervous to follow up on, but he knew this was something he couldn't hide, not from her. Perhaps with Hermione to talk with about it, it would be easier to deal with some of the struggles he faced.

"Draco, aren't you forgetting something?"

The prompt caused Drago to borderline scowl, but with a patient smile to Hermione he walked over to the administrator's desk and took his rations of Wolfsbane for the month, as well as a disposable cup that held his potion for that morning. Without heasitation, he knocked the potion back and shuddered in revultion, swollowing down the last bit of Wolfsbane along with whatever explicitives had come to mine. Draco walked back his girlfriend to circle his arm around her waist and smile down at her a touch reassuringly.

"Let's go."

Hermione couldn't help but let out a deep sigh, relieved, when she heard there was nothing Werewolf related he had not told her. She believed him as well. Draco had never been a good liar as far as she was concerned and so she felt she always knew when he was telling the truth. Of course she could be wrong but she had never been proved otherwise.

"I believe you."

She whispered back softly, respecting his desire for privacy. After all some things were meant to be private and confessions definitely counted in that. It was an intimate thing and she'd much rather do it wherever the confessor was most comfortable. It was hard enough to confess things, especially your worst fears and similar things, if it could be made easier by making the person more comfortable then why not do it? At least that was Hermione's opinion.

Hermione frowned at the man at his words, feeling as if there was some kind of taunt in it. Yet with no proof she knew she could do nothing but glare down at the man until he shrank into his seat, a second away probably from relieving himself on the spot. When Draco returned she smiled immediately up at him, especially when his arm went around her waist protectively and possessively. He was definitely completely perfect for her. He was The One.

"Definitely."

She replied happily, leaning into his strong frame reassuringly.

Draco couldn't help the soft smile that alighted his features as he felt Hermione lean into his side. It gave him the comfort of knowing she was right there, the pride of knowing she was all his, and the protectivness of knowing he'd never let anyone harm her in any way without horrible retribution. As he slowly walked out of the building with her, he curved his hand around her side and gently stroked the area with his thumb. He needed something, something more than her entrancing scent and steady hearbeat to reassure him she was right beside him, and not a mere illusion.

The place which they lived - when Hermione was not away at Hogwarts at least - was not terribly far from the building which Draco was kept in during the full moon, however, he'd disappeared to his parents' residence at Malfoy Manor for a few days before and after to furthar hide the symptoms of lycanthropy. It was close enough, at least, for a walk between buildings to be rather enjoyable when the weather permitted.

It was as they walked that Draco kept stealing glances down at Hermione, a smile that he could notvhide growing on his face. However, whatever hevwas thinking he kept to himself.

Until they were behind closed doors, that is.

Using the leverage from his arm around her, he pulled her flush against his chest and kissed her in a slow, sensual, loving way while he reach up to gently cup her cheek with his hand, his finger sliding into hrr beautiful hair.

"I'm not trying to get out of telling you about my lycanthropy, I just want to get rid of the stress from shifting." He murmured against her soft lips between the liquer-like kisses they shared.

He wondered how many patters of his she had come to expect. The disappearances, the compulsive desire to be with her once he returned, no matter what she happened to be in the middle of, there were several, most of which he himself didn't realize.

He overwhelmed her before she even knew he was going to move. In hindsight she knew she should have known what was coming. He was always a lot more friskier after his disappearances, often getting a lot of very skilled kissing in and if he was lucky a little light touching. Most of the time he seemed content to just suck at her neck until he'd marked it so clearly that the hickey would be there for at least a week. She'd have to keep it on show the entire time as well since he ended up sulking - although she knew he'd deny it - when she did try to cover it up that once.

"A nornal person would tell you to get a stress ball. Clearly thats not me."

She mumbled back, panting and almost breathless. Draco had to be the best kisser in the entire world. If it hadn't been for the sloppy one with Ron back just after the Battle of Hogwarts then Draco would have been her first kiss. In the end he was her second and as far as she was concerned he would be her only. She wanted no one else. Only Draco could make her forget about knowledge and books.

"I... I could try a massage one day. I actually read about it the other day..."

Hermione suggested, getting excited with every word until she suddenly cut off. It was, unfortunately, habit. After all neither Ron or Harry wanted to hear her ramble on about anything intelligent and if they didn't interrupt her then they certainly weren't listening to her anyway so she ended up trailing off. It had become a very bad habit and she was trying to get out of it but it was hard to do so after so long.

Draco could not help but smirk in amusement at her response, and rolled his eyes playfully to demonstrate this amusement.

"And what would I do with a stress ball, play fetch?"

Every month, every cycle, every shift, Draco had to keep a leash on his mind to keep himself in check. Hermione had discussed her boundaries very clearly to him in the past, and he respected this. Or at least, he tried to. Lucky for him, Hermione was assertive enough to stop him before he got too far ahead of himself.

"Hmm?"

Draco arched an eyebrow lightly to his girlfriend as she cut herself off, gently nipping at her lower lip for a moment before his lips trailed to the soft, cold flesh of her ear.

"Come now, Granger darling, you know I love it when you talk nerdy to me."

While his whispers were low and suggestive, it had become a simple part of this time he had to enjoy himself and , hopefully, bring his girl pleasure. 'Granger darling' had also become a favorite nickname of his, referencing to a time where they once couldn't stand each other - their "early years" as a couple as he joked - but bringing something lighter to it with the ever affectionate 'darling.'

With a low growl from his chest that seemed somewhere between a laugh and a growl, Draco began his assault on Hermione's neck, nipping, sucking, and lapping at that sweet, soft skin where he could feel her pulse rapidly pounding.

"Oh Draco!"

Hermione half moaned and half gushed happily as she threw herself at him. Not that there was much space between them to begin with. Her arms were flung around his neck, her back arched slightly, and she began peppering his neck with kisses. Appreciation for her intellect, infact encouraging it, was definitely the best way to make her happy. So much so that Draco could probably ask for almost anything and she'd grant it without hesitation.

Her breath hitched as she felt him attack her neck with a passionate fervour. Unable to suppress how good she felt, or even find any will to stop Draco at that moment, she found herself sliding her fingers up into his short white-blonde hair. It was feather-soft, and she was so glad he had stopped with the ridiculous gelling.

Pulling back, she gave him a mischievous smile as she thought of his words about fetch.

"If you don't play fetch, does that mean you won't be humping my leg either?"

She teased playfully. It was as she was running her fingers through his soft hair that a random thought popped into her mind.

"Have you ever thought of growing your hair long?"

Whilst Lucius may have a... unpleasant past there was no denying that the man was very easy on the eye. Of course she understood if Draco didn't want to grow his hair long. It could make father and son look far too identical. However she was pretty sure Draco would look very attractive with long hair. Of course in Hermione's opinion Draco would always look extremely attractive. His broad shoulders and exquisite muscles helped with that.

( ooc: should we have it so that Hermione hasn't 'met the parents' yet? )

(We could, works with a little plot I had in mind)

A growl of satisfaction rumbled in Draco's throat as Hermione's fingers carded through his hair, nipping at her neck more fiercely, though taking care not to break the skin. If he turned her, or even just tainted her, he'd never forgive himself.

With her hands in his hair, he moved his own to bring Hermione as close as physically possible at the time, placing one hand on her hip and using his other arm to wrap around her waist and pull her closer. It was strange, sometimes, the differences between human and werewolf behaviors. To anyone that didn't understand the way a werewolf thought, everything about this scene was purely sexual, but to a werewolf, or someone who understood them on a deeper level, this scene show insecurity, and comfort.

Draco would never admit he was upset when Hermione once tried to cover up the marks he left on her, the marks that claimed her as his and his alone. He'd also never admit that her warmth and her scent brought him a sense of comfort akin to a mother holding her child. These were things only Hermione could bring to him. These are sides of him only Hermione would ever see.

As she pulled back, Draco straightened up a bit and smirked down her in amusement.

"What, and give you blackmail material, I don't think so."

He chuckled as he playfully nipped at her nose. Maybe someday he'd give her a taste of more wolfish and canine behaviors, but that day was not today.

"Hmm, once or twice ... but if I do I'm not wearing a bow in my hair."

He answered with a definitive shake of his head. He had absolutely no clue why his father wore a bow in his hair, although he had a suspicion it had something to do with his aunt Roxanne. The reminder of his father also reminded Draco that he had many, many things to tell his girlfriend. With a sort of half-smile, he leaned forward to press a gentle kiss to her lips.

"I've still got a lot of explaining to do, yeah?"

"Oh god!"

Hermione moaned, unable to help herself, as Draco continued to lather her neck with his affection. Even now that she knew what he was, Hermione felt no fear. Infact as she encouraged his head, with her hands, closer to her neck she couldn't help but feel that she wanted to be able to understand his life as a Werewolf better. Infact, she didn't see it as a curse. She didn't think of him as tainting her should he turn her into a Werewolf like him. It rather excited her to think about it happening, and honestly what kind of woman in love would she be to have Draco feel like he was suffering alone? Even if she didn't feel as it if was suffering per say. Of course she knew Draco loved her and probably didn't see things - Werewolf wise - as she did. She'd have to get him in a moment where he lost control if she was going to get him to turn her. That she knew.

She ended up pouting when Draco denied he'd ever hump her leg.

"Aww, but I was so looking forward to that!"

She whined playfully. After a moment she found herself giggling at her own joke, shaking her head a moment before she leaned upwards to press her nose to Draco's.

"Draco, you know you don't have to hold back now, right? Whatever your inner wolf wants to do... say... let it out. I can handle it. No, thats not right. I want to see it. I want to interact with this other side of you. I want to be able to show that side of you how much I love you."

Hermione mentioned, giggling as he nipped her nose. She snorted when he mentioned not wearing a bow in his hair.

"I'd never make you wear a bow, honey."

She soothed, before smirking mischieviously.

"Besides, I think your hair would look far better free and wild, just how I like my men."

Her eyes fluttered closed, a sigh leaving her lips as Draco kissed her. He was so good at that. Her hands ended up leaving his hair to glide over his broad shoulders and down his chest. It was only when they reached his waist that she realised he had spoken. Blushing, she opened her eyes to look at him shyly.

Remembering she had wanted him to explain she nodded. Hermione forced herself to get her mind to wake up. After all, a round of kissing from Draco always sent her into a love-and-lust-filled haze.

"Maybe we should sit down and you can explain there."

"Well, my inner wolf doesn't have a very good track record of playing nice with others."

Draco answered dryly as he gently stroked her hair. It was true, somewhat. He'd snapped his fair share of pointy sticks thrust his way, though he'd never consciously attacked someone and he didn't plan on that accidentally starting with Hermione just because she wanted him to lose control.

With a slight nod to Hermione, her snaked his arm around her waist and walked with her back towards their bedroom, this being where he felt the most comfortable with the sense of privacy it offered. With a heavy sigh, he sat down on the edge of the bed and slowly ran a hand through his hair.

"Where do I start?"

He asked, it being less of a rhetorical question as he looked to Hermione for her say on it.

Hermione huffed when they were finally in the bedroom.

"Thats with others though! You haven't even tried to see how he'll react to me."

She told him. After all, wolves had mates. Maybe his wolf would see her as his mate, Hermione thought with a blush. Or that could just be wishful thinking after too much reading of supernatural romance fiction. Sighing deeply she plopped down beside him before resting the side of her head against his shoulder.

Noticing that Draco was starting at her as if he was expecting her to say something, Hermione couldn't help but shrug helplessly as she said;

"Start from the beginning?"

Was the only thing Hermione could think of to say.
