You can't make it a decor as you can't "erase" the tail by adding a decor on it... unless you makes a decor that only works on the basic background.
But it sure would look cute as a mutation.

We already have a bobbed tail as an upcoming mutation, and decor has to cover existing parts on a lion to work, rather than 'erasing' :3

not sure what you mean by erasing i just made the normal tail gone by painting over it and hand drawing the tail on it.
And i had no idea that a Bobcat tail was already upcoming in mutation aspect.

If this could work as a decor I'd soo buy it. Yeah bobtail is a planned mutation but it's not like you can just slap a mutation on a lion.

Unfortunately I don't think it'd work as a decor unless it's the tail being erased, otherwise it could only come in set colors.

You'd be able to /see/ the lions tail still . Putting decor on things doesnt erase parts, just covers em . It woudnt work as a decor .
