My girlfriend and I are planning a literate role play and are looking for one to four role players that can stick to a storyline and are willing to try and make schedules cohesive. This rp might be slow as both she and I are very busy with college schedules and spring break/summer work schedules. You must be literate; able to post at least 4+ sentences for responses; wolfspeak is absolutely NOT tolerated; mary/gary sues are not allowed.

This is an excerpt from our role play that is expected within replies:

At the water's verge there stands a shadow -- a looming, exotic figure of some sort of hybrid animal; a chimera of three. The shadow cast on the crystalline sands from the rising moon is something alien and strange: the dorsal fin and sanguine curves of a powerful thresher tail...and the body and head of a wild canine. The lithe creature stood just at the water's edge, captivated by the rare outing she found herself experiencing: it was rare for her to venture outside her home, to stargaze on this wondrous world up above; but she needn't linger here for long, for soon the return back underground was imminent, and the coyote mix soon turned away from the ebbing and flowing waves lapping at her paws and back towards the place from whence she came. The air shifted, and the creature made haste to make it back into her sojourn from the mysteries of the outside world, leaving paw prints in the sand that soon faded with the incoming tide some moments later.

If you're interested, let me know! :D

I'd most definitely be interested in joining this, depending of course on what the storyline is ʕ-ᴥ•ʔ
And I guess schedules, seeing as I might not be able to work with the one planned ʕX^Xʔ

It's basically like an Atlantian setting [a city named Ore'ea]. uhh here's something from a skype conversation that we were having earlier that might make things easier omg ;a;

"The city is failing with uprising and anarchy taking over and shit like that and it's basically one step leading to another trying to figure out where the fifth column involved is located that's bringing Ore'ea to its proverbial knees. Corrupt authority and a mysterious, shadowy culture, it's up to the role player to decide fates or to come along for the ride in this unforgiving journey of wanderlust and adventure.

I know Dana is a travelling alchemist of some sort [that has yet to be revealed LMAO] that has stumbled into the crumbling world of Ore'ea that hasn't seen a surface dweller in centuries. What if we summarize that pockets in the earth's surface have been opening up [like the hole Dana fell through and stuff] that are inexplicably leading down to the city of Ore'ea, and sister cities next to it like Sorsoon and stuff? o; Characters find themselves in a bioluminescent world of other-wordly creatures and hybrids of fantasy and myth or something lol. aka Xeenuze."

it's really really fun, i promise you ;o;!

it is indeed fun, and not really something you'd expect--we're always adding to the storyline and stuff like that.

Oh that does sound fun, is there anything I'd have to do to get involved? Like a role play example or something?

Thank you!

name/ID:: Prince / 6036
character:: Rausani {adding a sketch of him soon!}

desired role:: Ore'rea Resident

writing example: Nekotalia - Dublin
Dublin trotted through the halls, closer to the walls so that no one stepped on him. However a few humans had the same idea and one nearly kicked the Manx, in return they received a unsettled swipe at their luckily covered leg. He had no idea where he was going, though he was trying to find the main lobby, but his only directions were ” go down the hall, turn left, next exit, left again...” And so on, it had sort of become static to him by the second right. Fortunately, after sticking his head into three other rooms, he stumbled into the bustling room, people and pets coming in from all over the world. Glancing about he noticed Warsaw by himself and strode over to the very dressed up cat. ”'Ey Warsaw, 'aven't seem you round, 'ow 'as it been?” He greeted, his words slightly slurred, curse that catnip, combined with his Dublin accent causing him to sound rather unintelligible.

That was a few months ago and more casual, as far as I'm concerned, but I assure you. I can type plenty more ;3

xee's gone to bed, but we really like your writing style!

just a few notes;
ore'ea citizens should have some sort of bioluminescent markings because they live basically underground and don't have too much of a light source. whether you combine it with an aquatic animal is up to you--they live in such a way that they can see the ocean/slip into it--but bioluminescence, unless there's a mutation, is a big thing. and, perhaps, muted coloring, but that isn't so much of a requirement as a "it may or may not be beneficial for hunting" sort of thing.

can we see an example of your writing as if you had a character in ore'ea? doesn't need to be fancy or long. ^^

That's what I thought :3, I'm nearly finished with mine, so it shouldn't be more than a couple of hours.

I just assumed that the entrance was sort of bubbly, I don't know why, correct me if I'm wrong xc

Rausani slowed his intake so that they would create fewer ripples in the vast darkness, his silvery eyes staring blankly out as the leathery skin along his topside starting to light up, starting in small dots on his nose and moving down to nearly half way down his tail. Rausani let some of the little blue lights flicker out and come back, a method to attract small deep sea dwelling fish that he often times preyed on. It toke about an hour or so before there were even ripples, and longer still before there were enough to satisfy Rausani for the time being. Eventually the time came and Rausani prepared himself, slowly tensing and turning towards their head around. Then snap! The sound was lost to the ocean, as were a majority of the deep dwelling fish which had been gathered over Rausani's back. He moved his lower jaw back into place, swallowing in the process.

With that out of the way he brought his legs up to his sides and pressed his multiple tails together to form one larger one and used it to propel himself through the water, absently searching for the opening into Ore'rea as he let his lights flicker out. Having not been too far from the underground city it wasn't long before the bubble like opening appeared, blurred images, reflecting what was going on inside, moved across the convex surface. Reaching out a paw he pushed on the bubble, and searched inside for solid ground. Finding a what felt like a crumbling rock he slipped the rest of his sleek body into the city of Ore'rea. From where he now stood on a sort of overhang, he peered down at the city, shaking his head before moving along the cliff wall.
