Shifting SpiritsNot a Shifter yet? Join here before posting!A warm mist surrounds your body, masking the scents of the forest. You feel cold, despite the beaming morning sun. Suddenly, a crackle of leaves sounds behind you and you whirl around to see a...... a tribe of humans staring expectantly at you. "Welcome to the Forest of Shifting Spirits." The voice seems to be all around you as if the whole forest is speaking but yet it just comes from one of the humans before you. "You are one of us. Your spirit longs to be one of the Others. An animal lives deep inside of you and it urges to be set free." All you can do is stare in bewilderment as the humans in front of you start to change. A voice speaks in your mind, "We are one." This time however, the voice seems oddly familiar yet you've never heard it before. With a shudder you realise that this is what they were talking about. Your spirit is more that you ever imagined. Not all is peaceful though, after the earthquake, no one is safe. People still hold out hope that it was just a natural disaster, but you know differently. The earthquake was caused by the government; the same government that has sent the FBI out to roam the streets. The same government that is capturing Shifters. The same government that now wants to rule. It is your job to save the very few humans that are truly one of you. It's your job to teach them to be who they are, and once every shifter if found.... Once each of them know their place.... only then can you all be safe. Finally, after the very last Shifter is trained, you, along with all the others, can escape from the world you know. (Original Rp idea by RainWatcher (#40211)  This is the Star Stones. Where the Shifters gather to share their newfound spells, talk or just hang out. The way to get here is by following the Lake Path to its end and you will come across the Star Stones. This is where all "Tribe" meetings are held.  The Lake Path where most Shifters often like to swim. This is the main route to the Star Stones and the Forest Village where the Shifters live. There are many different types of fish living in this lake and some Shifters even like to hunt in their animals forms in the lake.  These are the houses in which the Shifters live, commonly referred to as the "Forest Village." Each Shifter lives in their own house but Trainee Shifters live closest to their Teachers. Their houses are usually separated by a very short rope bridge instead of a long one that joins all the houses. Every single house is connected by rope bridges and there are stairs and ladders leading up to each of them. Rules:~No perfect characters, godmodding or power playing. ~Lioden Rules apply. ~Please keep swearing to a minimum. ~3+ sentences. Please be literate. If you don't speak fluent english please don't join. Keep in mind that if I see that you cannot do so, I will not accept you. ~Do not kill, seriously injure or hurt another character without their owners permission. ~Feel free to cause drama but don't do it all the time. ~Every Shifter studies an element of magic but the White Magic Shifters specialise in lots of different types of magic. (Your shifter must know some sort of magic but doesn't have to ever have any involvement in it if that is what you wish.) ~Only past tense writing please. 1st or 3rd person are both ok. ~Check to see what animals are already taken. Only one type of a certain animal. No double ups! ~Rescued humans will be Rp'd as just NPCs. ~Fade to black only if mating, birthing is ok. ~Be nice to everyone! ~Shifters have only ONE animal form so choose wisely. You can't change it! ~Put your favourite number in Other if you've read the rules. ~Trainee Shifters are Shifters that have not yet discovered their animal form. Once they can shift as they please they will move to their own house and begin to study magic. ~When Posting put more than your characters name at the top of your post. (Any more suggestions? Their clothes are modern clothes like any normal Human would wear. The Shifter "Tribe" is very civilised and like modern humans in every way apart from, well... the obvious. Their houses are pretty much exactly like in the picture at the top of the post although each Shifter may have a variation of that house. Magic Information: ~Basic Elements don't take long to master but more spells of those Elements can be learned. ~Complicated Elements take longer to master and less spells can be learned. Message Me!) General Information: The Lake Path is a public path that is frequented by Humans in Spring and Summer and sometimes in Winter when the lake is frozen over. Shifters must be careful to not let Humans see them in the lake in their Animal Forms. However, no human can find the way to the Star Rocks or the Forest Village. If so it is on very rare occasion. Shifters may go into the Town of StoneWater to buy food or any miscellaneous things, although they spend most of their time in the forest. Shops in Stonewater: "The Magic Shop:" There is a shop in the Town of Stonewater where spells instructions and potion recipes are sold. It is a small, wooden building on the end of a street. Behind it lays a small park. Human buy these sheets of magic for fun, not knowing that they really hold power to those that can read them. Spells can be learned by the Spell Scrolls but also can be created by the Shifter. Potions will only require ingredients found in nature or spells learned by Shifters. "Sugared Sweets:" A medium sized, brightly coloured shop in Stonewater where sweet treats are sold. Things such as cakes, doughnuts, candy and more. This shop is especially famous for their fresh Danish Donuts filled with fruit. This is a nice shop to go to for Shifters and Humans alike. Characters For All to Rp: Shopkeeper - The Magic Shop: A middle age man that has traveled the world for this type of magic works. He brings Spell Scrolls from all over the world while creating his own. He is a general character where everyone can play him as they please whilst visiting the Magic Shop. He keeps the shop as a hobby since he is the 7th generation to own it. He's not a Shifter but not entirely human either. 0 players like this post! Avon|Male|18 Yrs.|White Magic Shifter|Golden Eagle Avon sat bolt upright in his bed. The images of his dream still flashed behind his eyes. Wiping away the sweat from his forehead, the White Magic Shifter swung his legs over the side of his bed and stood. His legs were still stiff from sleeping so he flicked them out to loosen them. Warm sunlight was streaming through his floor to ceiling windows, setting the beige carpet aglow. Padding over to his wardrobe, Avon pulled out his trademark grey hoodie and slipped it over his head. He trotted back to the window. The clear sky promised a hot day but the boy wrapped his arms around his shoulders, as if still chilled by the ice of his dreams. All around, the forest was drenched in the red light of the rising sun and Avon couldn't help but smile. Today was going to be a good day. He could just feel it. 0 players like this post! Like? |

The warmth of the suns rays beamed against her face warming her skin. Her legs swung content, as she sat on the rope bridge. A soft hum was pressed against her lips, as she enjoyed the peacefulness and solitude the morning hours held. || Lucian || 19 yrs || Male || Leader || Jagurarundi || Training Tavani || Lucian hadn't been able to sleep a wink during the night, so when the bright light of the newly rising sun filtered through the curtains hole in the black out curtains he had he figured it was time to "wake up." Rolling out of his hammock he dropped the three feet it was to the floor, feet hitting the cold hardwood floor with a smack. Moving over to the window he pushed the curtain aside and looked at the forest. Pursing his lips he let it fall back into place and spun around, walking away from the window and into the bathroom. He did his morning stuff, brush teeth, fix hair, find clothes. Though the last one was defiantly easier said than done. Rifling through his clothes he soon found out he didn't have a single pair of clean pants, with a grain he gathered all his dirty clothes up and brought them to the laundry room to be washed. 0 players like this post! She had a nice bucket of fish floating on the water's surface. Everyone else was still asleep, or just now getting up. She was always one of the first ones up and would go down her blue slide which led straight to the lake path. She was almost always in her animal form, since she felt really big and that no one could mess with her. Breaking the surface, she came up for a breath of air and a few fish, shoving her snout into the bucket and pulling out a mouthful of fish, "Aww, almost empty." She said quietly as she realized she only had about four fish left. She sighed and floated on her back, chewing up the raw fish. It wouldn't upset her stomach since she was in her animal form, but she'd probably have to stay like this to let the food digest. | Levi | Male | 20 | Full Shifter | Lion | Levi slowly getting up, feeling his back pop, "Ugh.." He groaned, rubbing his spine. He slid out of his bed and walked over to a dresser, opening up the middle drawer and pulling up something that looked like it matched. He rubbed his head and began to head out of his house, sauntering lazily over the bridge. He still had bags under his eyes and he was somewhat hunched over. Tavani|Female|15 Yrs.|Trainee|Serval (Unknown)|Mentor: Lucian Tavani trotted lightly down the lake path. Her pale hands were clutching a bunch of deep blue pebbles. Their surfaces were smooth and the pebbles themselves looked like slightly squashed spheres. She turned to the lake and sat down, letting her feet dangle in the water. The trainee shivered as the cold seeped into her skin. Maybe my animal is a water animal. Maybe it's a.... a fish! Almost immediately she wrinkled her nose. Bad idea! I would hate to be a fish! What if I shifted when I was on land? She shook her head and skimmed a pebble across the glassy water, gasping as it careened past a figure in the water. Looking closer, Tavani realised that the figure was someone she knew. It was Danielle! Ashling | Female | 18yo | White Magic Shifter | Kodkod cat | At Star Stone Even before the sun was rising, Ashling was already out and practicing her magic away from her home. She learned not to practice while at home, especially Necromancy, but that was before mastering. The shape of a small cat sat on one of the rock at Star Stone, eyes closed in deep concentration. Taking a deep breath, her eyes opened and her head turned to the right and watched as a Harpy Eagle flew down. When it landed, you can tell it can just died. It seemed of old age, but was acting young again. Smiling at the bird, she watched him before making her way to him. Ash jumping onto the large eagle's back and it took off, placing around, heading back to her house, though maybe go see Avon. 0 players like this post! Like? |
