You know, this idea could work for the people that want a cute Holiday-themed base, seeing as the Frostbitten and Glacial-type bases probably won't make it through (well, maybe -- I suppose they could still be tweaked to be not so bright blue). Plus then Cream would get another Special base, as it seems it's been quite neglected lately, at least in the Special department.

I wouldn't mind having a cute speckly creamy-colored base. If you don't mind, could I maybe try making a mock-up of my own on how I think an Eggnog-themed base would look? :)

@Thalath- I was thinking the same. I remember Xyl saying he wanted to keep bases and markings from looking too OC-like, and cream bases are lovely for that. Especially because there's still a big part of this community that loves natural looking base. And I wouldn't mind at all if you did your own mock up! My skills are meh at best, it'd be great to get other takes on it,

I had a thought for a Butterscotch base, but my brain told me there were too many special orange-red bases at the mo', what with Infernal coming out again.

how about the tip of her tail or her whole tail has that red pattern on it. If you do it the length of her tail her tail will look like a candy cane

I would love to have some more Countershaded bases with different details. The darker/lighter top and lighter/darker bottom (IF it has 2 countershades), is getting a little boring. No offense, Lioden artists! >.>;
I think this would really be nice. Maybe we could add a new category to the colours and make these super special Festive Bases instead of regular ones~? ;D

I like it, and I agree about special, countershaded creams. I think it would look especially nice with slightly less brown to the tail, and maybe a bit more around the muzzle/tail base, but obviously that's not a big deal since it'll probably get redrawn either way and it's fine as is.

(Also, I like the second pair better (although one of them might be the same and it's just that the white background was tricking my eyes), and the first of those two more than the second, if that makes sense and helps any with planning :P)

Unholy (albeit less so, mostly just really heavy countershading)
Deira (countershading but not along the regular lines so I think it counts)

Hallowed, Fulvous, Auburn, and a lot of others also have such heavy shading that it's basically like a marking, although more like a Cover/Coat/Pelage etc than speckles

Celestial and Skyward both resemble yours more in style, but you have a way different colour set so I think yours would be a good addition

@Thatath- I think I really like the lighter version, cause the little flecks pop more. My thought was they kinda look like the cinnamon some people will sprinkle on top of the drink. I think it would turn out more like a Celestial base, like Nyoka said, where the flecks are part of it and not an actual marking, if that makes sense, but that means any marking could easily swallow the little details like that.

@Nomusa- Festive bases kinda fall under the event bases, I'd think, seeing as how Unholy is Halloween-y and was this year's event base, but that's a good spin on it! It'd pull up a bit more holiday cheer around those times.

Ahhh yeah you're absolutely right, I forgot about Skyward and Celestial haha. There's an unreleased (presumably) July base that is also very speckle-y.

Brass and Copper also kind of look like they have built-in markings as well
