Kamaria yawned, front paws stretching out and claws scraping the rock beneath her. On her perch, she overlooked the lands that, barring a future little brother, should belong to either her or her sister, but... The thought didn't appeal to her. She watched, instead, the males of the Guard as they trained or went out on patrol. Leaping from her resting place, snowy toes alighting softly on the ground like an owl. She was due for hunting lessons in a few minutes... so she veered away from the open plains of the Hunting Grounds, in favor of the Royal Guard's rocky training area. Her mother's wishes be damned.

Izzikhumba tensed his muscles, heading upfront to the sunset. His enemy awaited a mew tail-lenghts away. He growled, not to be mistaken by a lost cub and become a prey for the bigger male. He crouched. A roar came from the distant shadow in front of him. At the same time, he snarled, showing his opponent a clear message. "I'm not afraid" he tought. The bigger male started to get closer everytime as our young fella prepared to fight, claws unsheated. Suddenly, the male stopped just in front of him. However, Khumba didnt rest and stood there, in a defensive position just in case this could be a trap. The male suddenly laid down in front of him, leaving him puzzled. He backed off a few steps. "Don't get away, please!" The male whispered. Izzi could feel something running down his spine, a cool sensation that made him feel relaxed. Then he realized... "No...not again!!" He shouted deep inside him. His paws moved on their own and padded just in front of the misterious older lion, who just looked at hi. Khumba started to freak out. -G-Get away from me!!!- He shouted, trying to go back into himself. The other male chuckled. -Why? You know this is how you like it...- He whispered calmly, not moving from his spot. Khumba started leaning forward. -N-No...I'm supposed to like lionesses!.. You're a freak!!

Freak....

Freak.....

The memory suddenly rushed into him once again. His father just hitting him against the hard dirt ground, the only gaze on his face was fury. The same words pounded on his mind as he squealed in pain. -A FREAK!!!-


-GAAAAAAH!!- He shouted, waking himself up from his nightmare. Yet, the same words remained repeating in his mind. "Freak, freak, freak, freak"

Tears rolled down his cheeks and he tried to get up. He finally made it, and tried to forget the recent visions. He walked off the den and headed straight to the food pile. On his way, he could see Kamaria, the royal cub and his only trustworthy friend. He padded nearer to her, and greeted with a fake smile on his face.

Makusudi-Female-4-Lioness

Makusudi woke up, her head on her paws. She raised it, blinking her eyes quickly as her jaws parted in a yawn. She got up and headed out, sitting down outside, purring slightly as the sun rays hit her back and front, warming her. The dark tan lioness looked about, observing her surroundings, yet her face took on a very...menacing one. Her eyes were narrowed, a cold glare. Her mouth was formed into a frown. Everyone has reasons for being the way they are and Maku had her's. -svsEw-

Simora woke up from her little 'grove', which was really just a tree covered in vines, and herbs surrounding the tree and Simora. Simora picked a purple violet,a white lily, and a red tulip and tied them together with a vine strand. "Time to go give this to the royal guards." Simora picks up the bundle in her mouth, and carries it to where the royal guards are training. "Hello gentlemen." Simora says, before tossing the bundle in the air. The royal guards race to catch it. Simora laughs before trotting off back to her grove. Simora looks up at a rocks and sees two lions chatting.
"Oh, Kamaria and Izzikhumba." Simora says, recognizing the lions. She set her head down on her paws, watching the best friends chat.

Kamaria smirked, the closest thing to a smile she ever wore, and butted her head against the young male's. "Hey, Izzi. What brings you out here?" She sat down and licked her shoulder, smoothing the glistening silver fur there. She hated her fur, how it picked up light and shone, giving away her position. She was like a walking star, a moonshard fallen to earth. "You coming to train, or just to say hi?"

The young male nodded. -You know me, i must get strong enough!- He declared, puffing his chest out and raising his head, showing some pride. Then he went back to his normal self. Anyway, he knew Kamaria as good as he knew his paw. She looked annoyed (more than usual). -What 'bout cha? Problems with your mother again?- He questioned. That was his way of forgetting his own problems, helping everyone else resolving their own.

Kermiger || Male || 5 years || No Mate - Bisexual || Guard Captain || Appearance

Kermiger’s position as Guard Captain had not come easy. After a tough youth being raised in the harsh wastelands surrounding his current home, he’d stumbled upon King Thakur’s pride at the young age of two years old. Of course the king hadn’t been able to trust him for some time, and it had taken him a while to be allowed into the Royal Guard. Once there he quickly excelled, enthusiastically serving the pride that had saved him from the torment he’d been through. It had taken him two years, but he finally was promoted to Guard Captain at four years old. Now a prime age of five years, Kermiger was a strong and proud lion, who above all else was loyal to his pride.

The sandy pelted lion lay stretched out on a slab of rock at the edge of the Royal Guard’s training area. It was slightly raised from the flat rock the other males were training on, giving him the prime position to observe them. There was potential in some of the younger males, no doubt about that, and the older ones had really improved in recent months. He only hoped that King Thakur saw the same thing he did in their abilities.

Kermiger yawned, stretching out his paws in front of him and shaking his dark, scruffy mane. The day was still young and maybe soon he’d join in on the training rather than watching and instructing from the sidelines. His ear twitched as he heard the padding of a lion to his left. A short way away, further up on the rocks and overlooking the training area, he recognised Princess Kamaria. He nodded his head in greeting, too far away right now to speak to her, and saw as Izzikhumba, too, appeared.

Just as the two began to converse Kermiger’s attention was drawn back to the training arena. Simora had appeared and stepped into the area, catching the attention of the training Guards by throwing a bundle of flowers into the air. Kermiger rolled his eyes and huffed, pulling himself up into a sitting position as Simora bounded off to greet the adolescents. ”Alright everyone, settle down,” he announced, ”Get back into pairs and continue the sparring drill. You can’t allow yourself to get distracted when in a real fight.”

Sefu jumped, the powerful muscles in his back legs allowing him to catch it before the other guards could reach it. He put it gently on the ground trying not to hurt the flowers too much before he threw them again. Suddenly, he flung them into the air just as little Zuberi pounced onto his father's tail, his eyes glowing with happiness. Sefu looked at Zuberi in admiration, chuckling at the little cubs ways. "What are you doing out here, little cub?" He asked as he watched his son as he continue to pounce at his tail.

Nia slowly walked up to Simora, her tail flicking back and forth, "You bored?" She asked, her ears twitching as she turned to her dad and little brother who were talking with their heads bent low. She figured she'd let them talk even though she knew she'd probably get into trouble for letting him wonder off again. She shook her head before turning back to Simora blinking slowly. She glanced at Izzikhumba and Kimaria quickly, flicking her tail. "You think they'll be mates when they're older?" She asked, her head tilted slightly.

"Oh hey Nia. And maybe, although I don't think Khumba's like that." Simora giggles, remembering earlier. "I tied up a bundle of flowers to distract the Royal Guard during their training. I know I shouldn't, given the king and all, but some pranks have got to be pulled."

Thakur crawled out from his den, the mighty looking out upon his land. His blue gaze scanned the area, spotting many lions. He padded out to join them in their conversation.

Drevia was playing with a feather she had found. Although she was an adolescent, she was still playful and childish.

Nia flicked her tail and gave a little giggle, "So that's why my father was pretty much a bird for a few minutes," She said a slight mischievous spark lighting in her eyes as she shook her head. Suddenly, a bundle of gold and black flew between her legs squawking about being Guard Captain one day. She let out a little growl of annoyance as she pawed Zuberi away. "Go play or something." She mewed, flicking his ear with her tail. Zuberi whined before nudging Nia with his head, "But there's no other cubs to play with!" He complained.

Sefu sent Zuberi away so he could go back to training; his eyes narrowed slightly as he watched Nia push him away. He just rolled his eyes a little bit before turning back to his sparring partner, his hefty paws landing slightly soft blows on the opponent. He backed away slightly as a hard blow landed right on the center of his nose, causing his eyes to water.

Thakur smiled, glancing at his talkative Pride. He glanced at all the young lions. 'So much potential...' He thought, smiling proudly.

"Well, what do you want to do Nia? We could hunt, buts it's boring. We could make flower bundles, that have no purpose, so I have no ideas. You? But we need to ditch....." Simora's eyes signal to Zuberi. "Maybe he could go with the shaman or Drevia.... we could probably bait Drevia into babysitting you-know-who in exchange for herb bundles??"

Drevia hadn't heard her name, but she continued to play with the feather. For some reason she was acting like a cub today.
