I signed up here awhile back but I only got into the game a few days ago and I was wondering, how's the art market here? I do commissions on other sites on occasion but not many, however I thought sense I'm poor as dirt comparatively I was thinking art might be the way to go if I want some income as I figure out the game more. I'd like to sell sketches/colored sketches as those are what I can produce the fastest while maintaining quality but I haven't seen a lot of people selling sketches (Stalking Art Sales for about two days) so I assume there isn't much market for them. Cell shaded headshots/busts would probably be my next choice. I can draw humans/humanoids, anthros and animals of all kinds but I'm better at mammalian quadrupeds as far as animals go. A few examples: Full color, cell shaded with colored lines Full color, cell shaded with black/dynamic lines (usual style) Colored Sketch Sketch So what do you think is a good price or would you buy my art? Anything I should know about the market here? What sells best? Any critique you have for my art would also be appreciated, especially so on the Lioness as I'm still if-y if I like colored lines or not. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Your sketches could go for around 5GB, coloured sketches 7 - 8GB, full colour with black lines could be around 12GB and for your colored lines about 15GB? (I think that ones much nicer than the black lines, very cool!) But you could skew them around if there was something less complicated or more complicated. But even so, your art could possibly go for more than what i've labelled, not so sure, but having a good starting price then perhaps raising them a little as you get more business would be nice. 0 players like this post! Nice, I didn't think I'd get any attention. :D Thanks for the input guys! If I set up a shop it'll probably be towards the higher end of what Peter suggested, with a small slot (three-ish) list to begin with. If/when I set up is it okay if I put you guys, Hedax and Apollo, up for a slots? 0 players like this post! Like? |

Nice art! I'd say you can start at 10 - 15 GB for a full body sketch, 20+ for colored ones. 30+ for clean lined and etc. c; 0 players like this post! Like? |

I think the full colored images should go no less than 30gb. There are some people here that value art and pay appropriately. Its up to you in the end, but do not feel like you have to underprice yourself just so more people commission you here. Your art is gorgeus and you will get orders for high prices. This quality deserves it. 0 players like this post! Like? |

So this site is min wage/fair price compliant? Or is mostly? :O I've usually seen artists sitting at under priced (unless they are really good) for good/detailed art or is there an actual trend for fair luxury product pricing? And by under priced I mean not terribly so but a defiant gap in what it should be in a perfect world just going by GB = USD conversion. I mean, I believe in min wage (AT LEAST) for art but as sites like this tend to revolve around a user base that might not have a disposable income so you've got to play a bit at what's a min wage for in game currency. And I have no idea what you can earn hourly here yet once you're set up. But if this site sells right I'd totally love better pricing. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Here is what I would suggest 8/10GB for the roaring lioness 10/15GB for the bunny sketch 15GB for the weird creature 20/25GB for the elephant. You may go a bit higher if you'd rather sell less for a better price, but not much players would be able to afford it. Keep in mind most people here don't buy GB with real money, they will spend countless days to gain a single GB, that's why you can't consider 1GB=0.50$ when selling art in there. One GB worth way more than 0.50$ for a player who spent days to gain this GB. Also, if you're doing humanoids, I may be interested into commissioning you! :3 0 players like this post! Like? |

I do humanoids. I always do humanoids/anthros. It's no skin off my back to draw a human vs. a snake and everything in between. Uh huh, yeah. xD I just don't know what the min wage is here for in game currency. I know the current GB = SB conversion is about 1GB to about 1.3kSB (I think I've seen some people at 1.2k but very few lower) but I don't know how long it takes someone who's settled to earn about a thousand SB and some change. I think I'd prefer a less commissions for more pay though. I take time with my work and fuss over it till it's perfect so I don't want to end up with too many if I low ball. I'm probably only going to have three or so slots at a time per category (so six total) if I do multiple categories, maybe less and I'll only empty once all the slots are completed. 0 players like this post! sure, it's up to you, there are still a few richer players that can afford more expensive commissions. Your work is really good and deserve a good price indeed. May I ask for a few human examples ? 0 players like this post! Like? |
