Please Lioden Gods, Some of us are extremely tired of paying 3SB or spending 5 minutes in the Lion wardrobe to see what a lion looks like without acromania or melanism. Please, give us an option like "Hide Custom Decors on Lions" or, "Disable Pregnancy Visuals on my Lions" or anything to make this shit less tedious. Thank you. Amen. Clarification: I am proposing a den switch that can be turned on and off at will. I am no way suggesting an item that actually removes mutations. I am not suggesting an item. I am not suggesting mutations be removed. I am suggesting a switch that individual playersn can choose to turn off and on an unlimited number of times without cost. A switch that only affects the player's own experince. |

You can't see them in the wardrobe at all. So I'm confused as to what you mean. Also: people objecting to this are just ridiculous. There is no reason *not* to have this feature. There is way more reason to have this than pregnant lion or custom decor viability. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 16/11/15 @ 02:32:06 by Lollygag ~*'Dolts'*~ (#7740) |

Maybe they don't understand it. Reexplain that this would not get rid of mutations, it would just mean that you could view a lion without achromia or melanism. They'd still have it, but now temporarily they'd be able to have thier markings visable in the wardrobe. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I might support this, but if I did it should be for all lions at once, you click 'opt out of mutation art' somewhere if you don't want to see any mutations. I don't know about an option to see it again, maybe you only get the option every time a new mutation comes out to give you an opportunity to participate if you really like something, but a lot of people don't care for muties. (not myself, I like mane mutes and whatnot, I just don't want to see deformed cubs) I don't know, perhaps only opt out of seeing lethals? When I first saw cyclopia and the poor sironemella (spelling?) cubs I felt really quite uncomfortable :/ 0 players like this post! Like? |

Seriously profoundly perplexed as to why anyone would not support this. Let me spell it out. I am proposing a free OPTIONAL switch on every player's den that they can switch off an on to see, or not to see mutations if they chose. You might chose to switch it off to see under a mutation for three seconds, and then put it right back on. Exactly like custom decor or the pregnant lion graphic. I honestly cannot fathom why people would be so obsessed with mutations that they don't want to give other players the choice to look at them or not. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I don't support because I don't think it's tedious enough to be worth the resources spent programming the extra feature. 0 players like this post! Like? |

As someone who works developing software I disagree. It shouldn't be difficult at all to program a feature like this. Personally I don't code that much, but I asked my Ph D computer science boyfriend about it and he said it should be very easy to toggle something like this on and off if the code is clean. Especially when you consider the time put into creating the role play lion personality texts. Cute, but completely non-functional and time consuming to create. 0 players like this post! Like? Its because if you want to see it without the mutation you need to either ask for a wardrobe link or use a safrou fruit, you can't have your cake and eat it, so to speak. If everyone could turn off mutation art then there would no point to melanism or achromia mutations, an idea like that was already shot down because it makes safrou fruit useless for non-lethals. Basically, just use the fruit if you don't want the mut :/ Like I already said, I only want to opt out of the lethals for the ick-factor. I'd still safrou them, but I don't want to check on my cub and see an albino cyclopia or something thanks. I honestly don't see even that getting put into the game though :( 0 players like this post! What do you people not understand about "switch to turn off and on" and how is this at all different from the switch to turn decor off and on?.or pregnant lionesses off and on. It does not render mutations pointless. It just lets us choose to see them or not. This is so daft. Guys get out your dictionary and look up the word visibility. 0 players like this post! Like? Mutations are desirable/unwanted based on how they look, right? Some people hate achromia? Well they're not going to buy the safrou fruit now like they would have done, because they can just turn it off, which means more sb floating around and that contributes to a market collapse. It's the same reason why lion skull drop rates were lowered. Mutations come with good (they're worth gb) and bad (it covers up or changes markings and art) qualities, you can't just get rid of the bad because you don't fancy seeing melanism on your cub or whatever. The wardrobe is free and you can bookmark it, the only reason its annoying is because you can't type in a lion ID at the top to see lions from other prides before you buy them. Maybe you should just support that idea instead? Besides, the pregnancy art is able to be turned off because it a) Does not effect their value/changes back anyway b) Grosses some players out That's why I'd want lethals turned off, its just nasty and they die anyway :/ "Visibility" is the entire point of mutations. But whatever, I'm not going to argue with you, you either opt out of muties altogether and never have a chance at getting one, or you just deal with the fact that they're different and put a wardrobe link for yourself in their bio. 0 players like this post! .... I can't buy a saffro fruit to feed it to someone else's lion so I can see what it actually looks like, now can I? The argument that less people would buy saffro fruit so there would be more SB in the economy is ridiculous. If the mods wanted less SB in the economy they could simply lower its discovery rate in explore. Very few people buy that item anyway. I also submit that if people could see under a lion's whole body mutation they might spend more GB and SB to make it more attractive. So, as you see that bad argument works both ways. I guess the bad it comes with is making over sensitive people queasy too, right? And agin visibility is the entire point of custom decor, which you can also turn on and off. I would love to opt out seeing of "muties" entirely. That's what I'm asking for this option for. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 16/11/15 @ 08:36:17 by Lollygag ~*'Dolts'*~ (#7740) |

Thanks, xen. And a lot of features, like the scrying stone and wardrobe itself were implemented to make the game less tedious. Back in the olden days we had to mess around in the oasis to see what our Cubs would look like as adults. ;) Also: I suggested the idea mentioned in your edit before and people hated it, and actually suggested that I propose this instead, which they also seem to hate. For no other reason, I can imagine, than the fact that they are proud of their mutations, and want to force people to look at them. But people are proud of their custom decor too... 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 16/11/15 @ 08:48:20 by Lollygag ~*'Dolts'*~ (#7740) |
