Alright, hear me out. Sometimes things can get a little crazy and you end up breeding like crazy, and your den ends up overflooding with lions.

You don't notice all that much, because you have, say, 40 territory slots and 30 lionesses. The game doesn't count all the pesky little cubs you have until they grow up, and by then it's too late. You chase half of your pride and before you know it, you do the same mistake again.

--

Ok, so here it goes: I suggest that players have the option to set a max lion cap that includes all the lions, rather than only counting adults like the territory slots do.

-That capacity can't exceed the number of territory slots you have, of course. Basically, it prevents you from expanding your pride more than you intend to; reaching the maximum you set will prevent you from breeding, claiming and buying lions.

- Territory slots remain and this new cap is purely optional. For people like me who have no self-control and end up drowning in a sea of lions all the time but don't have the willpower to actually care for that much lions.

-You could also insert a message when you first set your cap. When attempting to remove that cap, a dialogue box would appear.
Example: Jerry really wants to breed that VLF, but he will need to remove his personal lion cap. He tries to and is greeted with a dialogue box saying "Remember that time you had 40 lionesses and 50 cubs, Jerry? Do you want that to happen again? - Do you want to proceed?" greeted him. Jerry gave up.

Suggestions:

Mini Bear (#80674):
It could say some like this....

Total lioness :: XX
Total Adolescents :: XX
Total Cub :: XX
Total :: XX
*my addition to this suggestion* if separating adols from cubs is too much work, simply add a total to the current counter.

I love this idea, especially since I really stress myself out when I end up with more lionesses than I can manage all of a sudden.

Me when starting with Adderclaw: "I'll start with 10 lionesses and keep it around 20-25."
Me now: "..........Fish."

This would help me out a lot and keep me from impulse buying/claiming!

Speaking of claiming, if you're at your limit that you set and try to claim a lioness, it should have a similar message for when you don't have enough territory to claim her.

Totally support! If you look on my side account, I have about 24 adults and 70 cubs with 31 territory... Not the smartest move I've ever made. XD :'v

I respect you all's opinions; I just don't really understand having an all over lion cap. I keep my pride smaller, that may be the problem, so I always know how many spots I have verses how many lions I have. I am very displeased most the time when I breed my lioness and get rid of the cubs before they turn to adults.
I like having the ability of having the cubs for a few days before there adults and take spaces because it gives me time to know if I want the new cubs or if I want to keep my old ones, it gives me time to debate. When I see this idea I think that people will be more scared to breed their lionesses, and if they do breed them they have to get rid of some of their old lionesses they like a lot for some cubs that may suck. It's just my opinion, perhaps change it so where you get an alert when your close to having a cap instead? I mean the cubs get them before they turn to adults.

Thing is, Dearing, it doesn't matter how many cubs you get, you'll still hit your cap at some point or another. And as a matter of fact, you can find out now how many you'll be getting via the bat. The whole idea is to help you limit how many you want to have, which might well be a number well below the amount of territory you have.

Dearing, I don't see why people using the feature would breed their lionesses knowing they're close to their limit? That's one if the the main point of the feature would be, anyway: discouraging you from breeding too many lionesses at the same time.
