If a marking, mane or base is breeding only, comes from an applicator, Seasonal or otherwise special it should be marked somehow. This should help cut down guesswork on if that NCL/Cub has a special marking or not. I'll give three possibilities on how this could be done. These can be mixed and matched until something good has been made. In each example, slot one is a normal marking, slot two is breeding only, and slot three is seasonal (like the February Rose markings). Method 1: State it! Slot 1: Marking Slot 2: Marking - Breeding Only Slot 3: Marking - Seasonal Method 2: Itallics Slot 1: Marking Slot 2: Marking Slot 3: Marking Method 3: Colors (Actual colors can be changed, this is just an example) Slot 1: Marking Slot 2: Marking Slot 3: Marking |

I actually really like this idea. I think this would be VERY helpful for newbies, or even old players returning after a hiatus. My vote goes toward Italics. It doesn't highlight where the mark comes from, no, but it still shows you the mark cannot be applied by normal means and is less cluttery/strange looking than adding a note or colors. ![]() |
