The new king, Snow-Fire, roared through the rainy night, proclaiming the old King dead. The lionesses bowed their heads in respect and sadness, before answering back with their own acknowledging roars to their new leader. The sub males took their place as protectors, patrolled the common area around the pride while making sure cubs were well looked after.
