Gingerkit woke up early in the early green light of the forest. No one was awake yet, but she couldn't go back to sleep. Stretching her tiny gray and cream paws, she silently got up and came out of the den. She spotted a leaf blowing on past the brush, and pounced on it. "HA! I got you!"
The sun was just coming up, and everthing was a little bit dewy. The moss underfoot was moist, but it was starting to warm up, and it felt good on her pawpads.

Blinking sleep out of her eyes, Doeheart lets out a tired yawn and drags herself out of her nest - going up to the entrance of the old badger den it resides in. With her head now poking out of it she takes in the sights, smells and sounds of the grassland around her while taking special care to check if any bees are present. Giving herself the all clear, the she-cat sighs lightly and leaves her shelter- the sun pleasantly warm in comparison to the dewy grass that dampened her paw pads underfoot.

But something was off.

The deputy spots a small flash of yellow and black approaching her at top speed.

Adrenaline pumping, Doeheart decides it was time to stand her ground. She was tired of letting her phobia get in the way of normal life and was going to end it at this very moment. She was going to kill that bee.

The insect is now on the ground a meer foxleap ahead of her- slowly approaching a lifted and violently trembling paw.

Doeheart is only able to lightly pat the bee before it got too much and turns heel right back into the den- panting and shaking like a half-drowned kit in the snow. Checking behind her for any beelike intruders, she collapses back into her nest with a huff.
"Some deputy I am"

Cedarstar had stirred awake in his den at the crack of dawn, as usual, watching the Thunderclan's camp clearing from the shadows that were being pushed away by the sunlight. He groomed his chest in brisk, strong licks, ears twitching occasionally at any sounds the forest made. It was rather early for the clan, given no one was awake at this time, but he liked to check in before the liveliness began.
As soon as he was done grooming himself, fur sleeked back to his lithe shape, he made his way out of his den beside the rock, stretching outside in the warmth.
His eyes quickly fell on the kit, as it contrasted the green growth. For a moment, he sat and watched, before strolling over to join in the play. Cedarstar was rather involved with his clan, rather than detached as leaders were before him. "What have you got there, Gingerkit?" His mew was soft and kind, the tip of his tail twitching in curiosity.

Gingerkits eyes widened as Cedarstar approached her.
"Oh, just a leaf. But if it had been a mouse, it would have been lunch!"
She crouched again, getting ready to demonstrate her skills, but instead sprung up a few feet into the air as another leaf blew past and touched her tail.

Cedarstar made a purr of amusement at the kit's determination, crouching down at her in a hunting position, his tail twitching in concentration at the leaf before another made her jump. He lost his concentration, purring once more. "And will a mouse scare you, too?"

Cinder puffed up her chest. "No! The mouse wouldn't scare me. I am gonna be a great warrior. All the mice will be scared to come out when they find out I'm a warrior!"
She turned around and pounced on the shameful leaf. She was happy to have the leader to herself.

Shadeclaw opened his eyes and blinked the bleary sleep out of them. He yawned and got up only to stretch his long legs. After he'd finished stretching and washing himself, he stepped out into the RiverClan where the rising sun was just barely visible above the tall reeds. Shadeclaw padded over to the fresh-kill pile and selected a plump vole.

Cedarstar sat up straight, curling his tail around his paws. "For now, the mice won't be scared of you, not yet." It was in a solemn tone, not meaning to discourage the kit. "How come you're awake so early?" He mewed, glancing up at the sky. The sun was hardly reaching its highest point.

"I couldn't sleep. And all the other kits were sleeping. They never want to play early." She looked down at her paws. What are you doing up so early?" Her ears twitched, looking at the leaders solemn face. Why did he look so sad?

Cedarstar could relate with her; albeit he was the kit that always slept in. His tail twitched idly; something he always seemed to do. "Sometimes being clan leader is hard, and I have to make sure everyone is safe. I wake up early to make sure nothing is wrong," he paused, the semi-serious tone leaving, "and to catdh kits like you out of your nest!" He teased, bapping his paw at her ear with claws sheathed.

Gingerkit squealed, and pounced on the leaders tail, before bounding away behind him. She looked at the leader while laying on the geound with her head on her paws. The leader was fun.
