Unless your future king is really old, I'd keep breeding for a better male. His mane shape and color is nice, but his markings and base could be better. In my opinion.

I wouldn't stud to him as is. He's too simple for my liking. I'd say 50-75sb studding fee, but depending on how much you can apply to him, the price can possibly go for 200sb.

You can customize him, maybe add in some nice onyx and white markings from the oasis. You can also try getting some applicators for him.

Okay now my opinions weighs very little as he's going to be your king but personally I'd change his base! I like his markings I've just added a shade of henna in the examples above, you can always add more over time.. that's what I did with my king.. I would definitely stud him but not with a dun base to be honest.. its very common! I'd love to see how he turns out though :)

I was thinking base changing him to either cocoa or onyx I do like both if I added feline 6 or 7 would that make him more desired? What marking would you like to see him have.

I agree with Turk, for stud fee and that unless you need an heir right now, it might be best to keep trying for one. His markings are a bit plain for me, so I personally wouldn't breed to him now or if you customized him, just because I don't need any of his markings or base.

BoboH's designs are nice, and might help you get some more stud requests, but as for price, I doubt he'd go for over 150 SB fully customized like that. At most 100SB if you kept him as is, since that's the lowest you can put him for his markings.

Edit* If you can get your hands on some applicators(there are a few coming up in the next couple months), his price and demand would go up a bit.

I'm not sure. I really like option 2 I changed his mane to ruddy now I need 5 GB for a base changer thinking either obsidian or the onyx I have a mark application so I can add something but I don't know what yet.

If you know you want to go with onyx or obsidian, I'd say go for obsidian. It's a newer base, and looks almost identical to onyx anyway. People would probably prefer to stud their lionesses to an obsidian based king more than an onyx based king right now.

I agree with Bailey. If your king isn't extremely old, you can try to wait for the next few events. I believe some markings are coming out then, and if your heir looks good in them, you can apply them and possibly get more stud requests out of it.

He's retiring in only a few weeks I won't have time to look for another one. I just need to change his base I guess and hope for the best.

Update I changed his base to obsidian. Check tomorrow Friday 5 27 16 as he will become an adult.
