Pros of this;

It looks cute.
It adds special details to the outlining fact of it being a broodmother.
It will appeal to the aesthetic.

Cons;
More work for Xylax.
It will take a while to be implemented.

In my opinion, pros outweigh the cons.

This sounds like it could be cute, but only so long as it can be disabled (the way pregnancy poses can be), and the cubs are positioned in a way that doesn't interfere with the broodmother's potential nursing cubs.

Also, quick question: your original post says "if there is 2 cub protected 2 cubs show up playing etc."

Does the etc mean, however many cubs there are, that's how much art appears?
If so, I think it would get too cluttered. Most people use nurturing personality broodmoms for the extra cub, for a total of 6 cub protection slots at a time.
The art would have to be bigger than the nursing stages, since these are older cubs, not newborn. With that in mind, having 6 on one lioness seems REALLY excessive, and imo only 1-3 cubs should appear as decoration, to make it look less crowded.

Yeah I was thinking that when there was no cubs protected or the broodmother was removed from the lioness the cub art would disappear

I could see this as a visual set in the background, 1-6 cubs playing/chilling behind the broodmother.

That way, the overlay won't cover her cubs and it won't be as cluttered.

late by four years, but what if instead of art on the broodmother, there was a minor change on the cub showing that they're protected? i don't know how that would be shown though
