proper name:Epidermolysis bullosa Warning: gore image Yes, strange title right? Thought that grabbed your attention :D Well, ok...you might be thinking/wondering "This is a stupid name." You know what, I agree but cant think of anything else as this illness is only called that. Have you heard of the "butterfly boy"?...  Was he beaten up? No Does he self harm? No Does he have a skin problem? Yes Well, basically this illness is when your 'skin falls off with a slightest bit of touch.' So, I was thinking this: Lineart: Maybe sitting down with the face looking downwards in pain/discomfort. Art: Basically the lion/lioness is born with all the scars avaliable-so you cant take away or add any more scars. Or perhaps, be a totally different art; having a different sort of scar (for all body) maybe cuts, blotches, blisters and burns. This mutation should be rare, as there only around 300 worldwide with this mutation. Epidermolysis bullosa (EB) is a group ofinherited connective tissue diseasesthat cause blisters in the skin and mucosal membranes. It is a result of a defect in anchoring between the epidermis anddermis, resulting in friction and skin fragility. Its severity ranges from mild to lethal. Lethal: Yes. Dies at 6 months Affect Gameplay: inability to hunt & breed Age to see mutation: Cub This should have a small chance for their cub/s to be born with this mutation. Ideas from you guys (thank you) -Infertile: #96207 & #57298 -Shorter life span 6 months- 1 year: #96207 & #22800 Art to be only all the scars, eg: burnt paws, torn fur ect: #79194 New art (not the scars anyone can get their -paws- on, a new design of blotches ect (for more realistic): #96918 Any more ideas are welcome :) so, what do you think, Support or no-support? If no-support explain why please :) |

Yeah they'd have to be infertile. I don't imagine a human with the condition would be able to have sex (a very friction-heavy event) without severe pain let alone a lioness (shout out to lions and their barbed penises). I like the idea of them having all scars and/or a whole-body exclusive scar 1 player likes this post! Like? |

Totally agree with Ser Isles, there's no way a lioness in constant pain would want to breed unless a male forced her to. Adding to that thought, the minute a wild cub with this condition started to get mobile and tussle with its litter mates it would just die or be abandoned due to infected wounds or its weakness vs healthy lions. I don't think it would make it past 3-6 months. 0 players like this post! Like? |

It could basically be a merged decor for the art. Just putting Torn fur, mange, burn fur, worn paws and bruised together and matching up the colors would work perfectly. Support. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I like this idea! I think that if the suggestions of infertility and a shorter lifespan are implemented that it would be realistic and make it more challenging over all. The short lifespan and infertility would also keep it rare. I also think that there should be different line art because: 1. You can shove all the scars onto your lion to make them look like the mutation if new line art wasn't created, so new line art would prevent confusion (also helps keep things fair). 2. The scars might not actually look like the ones we put on our lions. Like if we're going for realism here, the images you posted seem to have a very specific sort of thing going on, it appears more blotchy, and we don't really have that as of yet. Therefore new line art would be needed. Those are just my few cents, but either way I'm game for this! 0 players like this post! Like? |

i'm saying no support because of the visual aspect of the mutation could honestly look a bit too grim and horrifying looking to appear in dens since we are talking about lion cub that would probably look about partially flayed. i don't mean to seem like i'm putting down your ideas but in my own opinion i think it may be a bridge too far 0 players like this post! I respect your opinion and all, but it would really just look like a lion with all scars but in a different lineart. It wont look much/if any worse than a lion/ess with all the avaliable scars now. Also, lethal mutations are not meant to be encouraged (meaning they wouldnt look stunning or beautiful), as we all know mutations are bad. So, maybe with this-people wont want their cubs to have this. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Yes, mammals can get it-though considering there has only been 60 cases of it affecting people, its rare. I have seen a dog having it once. And, no heart scars are not necessary. Im thinking more like cuts, blisters and torn fur (indicates sensitive skin). 0 players like this post! Like? |
