Everyone has seen the kill, ignore, or frolic with the lion cub explore page, yes?

And and not everyone has their cubs protected and there are cub accidents, right?

My idea, the cub is from someones pride (if chose to frolic the lioness is random) instead of 'killing' the cub, it gets away and you get a message that the cub ran into another male lion and got hurt. It doesn't (or can) say who hurt the cub.

As suggested by Zanedia:
When you frolic with the cub, not only do you get the random lioness but the cub gets a mood and survival boost (can be big or small)

Feed back please!! PLEASE NO JUST 'No supports' highly annoying and it doesn't solve anything.





Kill: It can. , LIKE ANY OTHER CUB ACCENT, kill the cub if the survival bar is to low! If it is not then they will only be hurt! But like any other chance at dying or getting hurt like: hyenas, getting lost, random animal wanting to hurt it. The lion can either kill or hurt the cub. LIKE ANY OTHER CUB ACCIDENT EVENT! (Bad karma?)

Frolic (as suggested by Zanedia (Mutie Project!) (#14752) on my other thread): You can frolic with the cub and still get a random lioness, and boost the Cubs mood and survival! (Good karma?)

Ignore you just. Ignore the cub.


But as I stated above..

KILLING THE CUB WILL HAVE AS HIGH AS CHANCE AS ANY OTHER EVENT, NO LESS, NO MORE! Okay? Okay! Thank you very much

I like this idea, it makes the game interesting. Though, what if there was a chance that the unprotected cub could actually get killed by the male?

I'm a little bit ?? on this suggestion, no other PvP player interactions harm the attacked player or lions/lionesses, or remove anything from their pride. No other interactions are unavoidable either.
I don't know why anyone would want to risk their cubs in such a way, or would want this implemented. There are already risks when you bring a new cub into your pride due to it not automatically being protected, and I would not want it dying/being injured, especially if a trade offer was accepted before rollover (for example) and my cub died upon logging in.

It would only die if the survival bar, like with any accident, was at 0 or close to 0. It would't kill them right on the spot like the hyenas don't, even though they can.

@Majesty: I think what Living Dead Girl is saying is that cubs get hurt and die anyways.
It`s not if the attacker goes to another players den, searches for an unprotected cub, and clicks "kill" or something that like.

I`d imagine, not to put words in your mouth, that there would be a "lottery system" that all unprotected cubs would be put in. So any unprotected cubs from any pride, has a small chance of being the cub in the ignore/frolic/kill prompt.
If the player chooses kill, the cub would get hurt. The lower to survival chance prior to the chance encounter, the more damage the male would do, and the higher chance of death. At the end of the day, it would just be a new "cub accident" prompt. But with (or without) a soecific player`s name. I think evil players would get a lot of gratification from this XD

And if I may add a suggestion, if the player chooses "frolic", I think it`d be really cool if the cub gained mood and survival chance, like it does when you interact with your own cubs.

I think this would be neat. I will support :)

No Zanedia, that still is not fair. No interactions on the games kill other people's lions, regardless of if its a random lottery (like the heart shell PvP).
Cubs are at risk when under 50-60% and can die from one cub accident at 40%. When buying cubs people don't often protect them and already there is a chance that unprotected cubs from trades will die upon the rollover that you receive them due to the way the game mechanics work. The decline is also once per rollover, giving you plenty of time to give them a broodmother before anything bad happens.
If you were simply very unlucky, a cub could die the day it was born and you wouldn't be able to do anything about it. The number of heartless personality + evil karma kings far outweighs the event personality + good karma farmers too.

I didn't say anything about killing. But mine have always died when the bar was at 0% not 50%. So if that was the case id have cubs killed by lions at a chance of 10% or lower.

The way the game works mean they would die from the accidents after the interaction occurred if you were unlucky, because the lottery/PvP aspect of your suggestion means you could get cub accidents at any time.
I assume that you could also get the messages whilst you were offline, and if not that's an extra thing to code for something that actually ruins the money and space-saving strategy of not protecting until the cubs are actually at risk (usually after they turn 5-7 months)
On cub death messages it can say "cub had an accident which took it down to (low percentage) and it died" so they don't always die at 0%.

That gets rid of valid criticisms and no matter how you word it, it detracts from the gameplay experience to get
A) notifications that mean nothing if you remove the losing survival/mood aspect
Or
B) interactions in explore which actively hurt other people's playing styles
