Sitka | Mare | 3 Years Sitka >>> Picasso 1x1 at the River Sitka knew how trivial her words could have sounded to others who knew not of her experiences. It would have been easy to appear careless and unprepared for the future, a young maiden with no idea of what disasters a lack of planning could create, but she was not overly concerned with how her words were initially deciphered. As long as she didn’t appear too crazy or estranged from reality, her apparent mood would remain unchanged as she stood in the gently flowing water. A soft breeze would brush past her cremello figure, lifting strands of wavy tail and mane into the air to twist and wave. As the stallion approached her, she would sidestep only slightly out of instinct to accommodate his masculine presence. She would have been listening to his words quietly, not offering an immediate reply. Her hair would stand erect at the brush of his muzzle, hide instinctually flinching as though a fly had landed in summer. Afterwards, she would relax slightly as she craned her chiseled head closer to his own as he inched further into her space. His persistence amused as well as comforted her. Stay? She had hoped the offer would have been presented, though she had not realized she would have been so elated when asked. Hiding the rise of her pulse, a smile crept across her face. “I would gladly stay, if all of you-“ she would pause in an attempt to lock his gaze. “If you would have me.” Sitka knew she needed interaction of others, knowing her evolution did not crave isolation, and she would want the approval of the other members of this band. Though still she knew that it was the stallion who would be their sole protector and truthfully the one to offer invitation or “claim” to outsiders. Of course a band would flow better if all were civil, and hopefully time would show that to be the case and more. Still, at this moment, Sitka knew she felt a connection with Picasso that she wanted to explore further and as long as he appeared interested she was willing to stick around. She would accept his grooming offer, glad to feel his touch as well as to see her appearance improved. She was quite dirty still. She would return his efforts if allowed and proceed to nibble and twitch her lips with mutual affection. Her neck would be stretched further upwards however, since his height was not a match of her own. Nares would flare wide, drawing his unique scent deep within her lungs. ”This may be too forward, and forgive me if it is too blunt, but.. are we to expect to reunite with more members of your family?” she would ask cautiously and with genuine interest. Perhaps there were more of his band who were looking for him still, or the other way around. Feeling as though she should explain herself somewhat so she did not appear rude or too forward, her voice would escape again. “My mother, it is hard to speak of it, but she is- Well, she is gone. And the rest of our band was separated immediately and I do not expect to see them again.” A small sigh would escape with the mare’s outward breath. The realization of never seeing her former friends and family was heart wrenching, though it was infuriating as well. Why should they be subjected to this chaos seemingly every year or so? Where did the unlucky go, and were they truly unlucky? The confusion only added to Sitka’s frustration of the last few weeks, and even years if she was being realistic. [ OOC ] Now I see what you meant! Haha, sorry for getting confused. I do much better with examples XD 0 players like this post! Like? |

Picasso As permission was gained, the stallion's fushia-stained lips began to eagerly rummage through the mare's pallid strands. He would pick away any foreign particles found as he brushed through said coarse fibers, teeth combing through any tangles that they unsuspectingly came across. Picasso would not only make her feel, but make Sitka look like a claimed, and adored member of his herd! And others would see that she was obviously well cared for. "Of course," he'd muse in response to her answer, officially welcoming the beauteous ma'am into the herd's midst before a satisfied murr followed. It was nice to feel another's lips against his coat, the gentle motions garnering a slight twitch of flesh on the occasion, his own offered groom becoming a little more serious. Lips would slip beneath Sitka's mane, massaging the areas of her neck that lied underneath, hoping to relieve an unreachable itch or soreness of muscle that might have arose thanks their flighty escape the days before. But eventually, Picasso would rein his broad skull backward, ears pushed forwards in a curious manner as Sitka questioned him. "Of course not, by all means." he'd respond initially, inviting her to question him even further if she so desired to. The mare's inquiry sent Picasso into a state of silent thinking, but only for a moment. He DID have family; but where that family was or if he'd ever reunite with them? That was a mystery. Just the usual Ol'case here, stallion chased from his herd upon maturity along with both brother and an overly attached mother refusing to let them go. Hmm, maybe that didn't really sound like 'the usual'.. ? Little did the skewbald fellow know, that in a few days, he'd run into them again. Ah well. "Not that I know of," he'd finally reply. "It was just us three before the roundup, although.." Picasso's voice would trail to an near inaudible whisper. Sitka would probably benefit a little more being clued in on the current ordeal. "The humans did take Vendetta's foals from her, .. before releasing us." Muzzle would motion towards which mare he spoke of, in the most subtle of manners. It wouldn't be hard for Sitka to understand which one, considering the other had already introduced herself. Yeah? Lips were pressed firmly against one another when hearing of Sitka's own issues, he now able to understand a bit more of her previously told story. Familiar with relocation, .. but usually able to cope along side her family. Err. This would prove difficult for Picasso to respond to. But there were only a few options in which to choose from, really. "Well," he'd begin again. "Right now our focus is to get further from the human settlement." Picasso paused again, stretching lips toward her cheek to administer a little smooch there if allowed. Attempting to show he was at least TRYING to understand and acknowledge the marer's present sense of heart ache. In the only ways he knew how to. "And perhaps, if we happen to run across them, you can rejoin them if that's your desire." A true gentleman he was, the complete opposite of those more possessive beasts. However, it COULD prove to be far more difficult in the future to just willingly let her leave him. Only time would tell, yea? "You're safe with me until then." And I'll take good care of you. T'was then that the bloke's attention was refocused towards his herd, perhaps a bit eager to get them moving now.. That's if Sitka had finished with her inquiries. If not, by all means, attention would remain. But they would have many opportunities in which to socialize, in the days to come! [OOC: Sorry for not replying earlier. I've been busy and for some reason didn't get a notification to you responding on this thread! - And yes, I'm glad I was able to finally provide one, with this one!] 0 players like this post! Like? |

Sitka | Mare | 3 Years It was exceptionally easy to speak with Picasso. The handsome brute was not overbearing or abrasive, showing friendliness and compassion at nearly every opportunity Sitka had presented or witnessed. Their mutual grooming session was beneficial to the pale mare’s mind and soul, rejuvenating both at the same time. Crystalline orbs noted the dust and debris that clouded the air around them and Sitka knew that most of the cloud had come from her own hide. She would try to stay more presentable in the future if events settled down quickly. Tired muscle aches presented themselves beneath Picasso’s kneading muzzle. Funny how adrenaline can mask soreness and injury until one’s guard is let down. Listening intently all the while to the responses to her inquiries, Sitka would steal a quick glance at the mentioned mare who had been separated from her foal, no wait, her foals? ”Foals? I have only heard the stories of twins and they were very few and far-between. How heartbreaking..” Sitka felt a pain in her heart for the mare, though she felt empathy for her children and the loss they had experienced. She would have to speak with this other mare in the future, as they had yet to share formal introduction. Sitka would attempt to turn her maw to Picasso’s “smooch” and playfully attempt to nip him with only her firm lips, teeth withheld. Yes, they did need to push on and travel further away from the settlement. Though Sitka had never been pursued after being released in past experiences, she did not plan on sticking around to see if history would repeat itself. Her mind toyed with the thought of seeing some of her friends, and what small amount of family she had left, again. Would she join them? Perhaps she may if they appeared today, but what if it was months or years down the road? Best not to dwell on such a thought, though it was not impossible. ”In that case, perhaps I will not take so much time away from the herd. I am sure everyone is eager to push on.” her voice would say, a hint of excitement in its undertones. Buttermilk stalks would then pull her away from the waters frigid caress. If Picasso were to return to the group of mares she would follow soon thereafter, anxiety now momentarily absent from her mood. For the first time today, and probably since the initial round-up, she would feel a glimmer of happiness within the overwhelming grief she had been experiencing. [ OOC ] No worries! Real life comes first. Don’t feel like you need to respond to this if there is a time jump happening soon in the main RP. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Picasso "Mhm," he'd hum in response to Sitka's initial response towards the thought of twins, confirming the mare's outward suspicion. Such precious little things they were, special and dear. But alas, taken. The gentle nip that was given onto the stallion's lips garnered a slight rise in energy levels, his front hooves performing a small prance-like action as teeth stretched forwards to administer a harmless tug onto Sitka's mane. Take that! A snort was released thereafter to kill his energetic spurt, a bob of the head made to show that he agreed with her trailing statement. Yes, t'was time to return to his other duties. And with the family's newest addition in tow (aka Sitka), Picasso would turn to the group and begin impatiently announcing the desire to move onward. [TADA! By the way, I would normally be posting here and posting in the main thread at the same time, to keep rp moving.. but ive been a little inactive lately, sorry!] 0 players like this post! Like? |
