I don't know if anyone else noticed, but in real life Vitiligo is actually not a marking.

Vitiligo: a long term skin condition characterised by patches of skin losing their pigment. The cause of vitiligo is unknown, but is thought to be due to an autoimmune disease or mutation which results in the immune system killing off melanin(pigment cells), thus causing patches of white or albino skin.

There are two types of vitiligo; segmental and non-segmental.
Segmental vitiligo occurs mostly on one side of the body and more often than not does not worsen over time.
Non-segmental vitiligo can occur anywhere on the body but usually has some form of symmetry to it, this type metastasizes. Over time existing patches will increase in size and new patches occur.

Instead of being a marking, Vitiligo should be a mutation similar to Piebald. There would be the two types Vitiligo (Segmental) and Vitiligo (Non-segmental). Segmental wouldn't differ much from the markings but non-segmental would appear around the orifices and paws/toes and would spread like it does in real life.

A non-segmental cub would have a small number of barely visible spots at birth. Each year the patches would increase in visibility until at 14 or 15 years the lion would be completely albino/white.
Vitiligo is not fatal and wouldn't effect gameplay

Piebald is actually not a mutation irl. It is a common pattern/marking seen on horses and cows, and sometimes dogs and cats.

This would be a neat idea however we already have the Vitiligo markings and they have been around for a long time. It wouldn't make sense to have both a Vitiligo mutation and Vitiligo markings and I don't think it would be fair to the people who breed it to change it so drastically. Plus we already have Piebald which is pretty similar.

So no support, I'm sorry. I don't see any reason to add this.

I'm not suggesting having both, I'm suggesting changing Vitiligo to a mutation and removing the markings. Lioden is supposed to be semi-realistic so Vitiligo should be a mutation like it is irl and not a marking.

Piebald is not considered a mutation irl, it is a common marking on horses, cows and sometimes dogs and cats

The onyx, sepia, etc variants of it would stay as markings however.

Well like I said, Vitiligo is a long established marking and I don't think removing it simply for the sake of a little more realism to be at all fair to the people who have been breeding the markings for so long. People who have worked very hard for multiple vit markings would have all their work thrown away as you cannot have more than one mutation on a lion.

Not trying to be rude here, I just think it's not fair to them.
