Barkhide's pawsteps were swift and silent as he patrolled the borders of Thunderclan. Though his body's russet pelt was medium-lengthed, albeit thick, his long tail plumed out like a fluffy feather boa behind him. His golden eyes darted left and right as he scanned the area on the move, looking for any signs of prey or possible threats.
His mood wasn't great. He hadn't been assigned an apprentice the night before as he had hoped. Though he himself had been made a warrior only six moons ago, he believed he would've been more than capable of training a future warrior of Thunderclan. Ravenstar, however, clearly thought otherwise.
To top it off, Barkhide's patrol partner Frostclaw was currently moaning in the medicine cat's den complaining of a stomach ache.
"His own fault," Bark grumbled to himself as he stopped to refresh a territory marker. "If he hadn't had that eating contest against Robinwing, he wouldn't feel so sick."
So he continued on his way, marching ever closer to the one clan Thunderclan despised more than any of the others; Shadowclan.
