Archie sat down, head leaning down only slightly to scratch behind his ear. He let out a small noise of anger, as he couldn't get to the itch that'd been bothering him a while. He finally gave up and just shook his head vigorously. He sighed through his nose and glancing around the camp, twisting his head further to the right to the left, nose slightly crinkled.

A slender canine sniffed the ground, taking a quick glance upward. Somewhere, foundation crumbled. Birds chirped. A rabbit munched on the soft grass poking through cracked concrete. But in front of her?

Archie.

Mira's ears pricked forward at the whine that escaped him and she rolled her eyes. Always so dramatic. She approached, her small paws making light footfalls, but she was otherwise quiet.

" Archie." she spoke, dipping her head in his direction. In truth, she was downright bored. The other packmates seemed to be busy, and while she could go beyond the safety of the den alone, she'd had an altercation during her last venture that left her shaken and her ego, and her ribs, bruised. It was probably best to keep to the pack for the time being.

" Any news, lately?" she asked, her voice soft, weirdly inviting for her. She sat beside Archie, head tilted slightly as she awaited his response.

The borzoi blinked, the corners of his mouth perking the slightest bit,"None yet, Mira, other then the fact I saw a cat. How exciting, right?" He joked, tail slowly dusting over the ground as he rolled his eyes at his fellow hunter,"Seriously though, not much at the moment."

Mira's brows knitted together as her lips curled ever so slightly at the joke. She looked off into the den, surveying the space as she took in the news. Nothing, huh?

" Let's hope it wasn't a black cat. I for one don't need any more bad luck." she jested, stifling a yawn. She wiggled her toes. She was antsy. Sitting still felt wrong, she needed to be doing something. Taking time for her to heal wasn't her prerogative, and the mind-numbing silence was absolutely destroying her.

" I can't believe there is absolutely nothing going on." she whined, shuffling her haunches a bit.

Cairo lay silently in the shadows of the south pack's huge camp and watched as Mira and Archie talked. He was too far away to hear them clearly, but snippets occasionally floated over. He watched as Mira began shuffling from boredom and he scoffed, she was older but could be mistaken for a pup sometimes. While Archie continued the conversation Cario finally sat up and licked his side once. He enjoyed listening to the others, it seemed there was always someone to mock, but it would do his hungry stomach no favors. Laughing once more at the pair talking, he silently slid out of camp.

A male dog sat right at a exit and entrance of their den, looking as though he were gonna fall asleep at any moment. He opened his jaws as much as his sloped face would allow and let out a giant yawn for his size, before shaking his head, ears flopping around obnoxiously. He gave a small groan before his brown eyes trailed over the area, seeing a cat hiding behind a piece of debris, he growled at it, making it hiss right back at him, and he was sure that it just said something rude to him if it even had a language of it's own.

Cairo was heading out of the large building when something caught his eye, a medium white dog lay at the entrance hidden almost completely by the shadows. Tilting his head slightly he padded up to the white dog and laughed as he saw him growled at a cat. "That's one fierce cat, you sure showed it who's boss."

Startled, the dog, Elias, turned his head to see Cairo. "He was bothering me! Besides, he probably said something really rude to me just now!"

Cairo nodded sarcastically and responded, "Definitely! That cat looks like a trouble maker."

The other dog narrowed his eyes, "No need to be rude..." He yawned as he turned his head back to the cat who had just returned. "Anyway

They watched the cat climb nimbly through the vines before Cairo finally said, "Anyway, I'm going out. Staying here feeds no bellies." As he padded away from Elias he could hear him let loose another warning growl to the cat and he chuckled. What a funny dog, he thought as the first rays on sunlight hit his eyes.

Elias's ears twitched and he huffed, watching Cairo disappear, before rolling his eyes and turning his gaze back to the cat, which now had a friend, watching him. Staring. He let out a bark, bobbed tail raising as much as it could, his muscles tensing as he bared his teeth at the two felines. They remained still though, unfazed by the dog that seemed nonthreatening.

Aulduin walked out from the shadows, noting the cats in front of....

Aulduin hated wimpy dogs that wouldn't growl loudly when another walked to close to territory. "Show the things they aren't welcome, Elias." She barked. Aulduin tried to stpe beside the brave cats, but purposely stomped on one of their tails. She hadn't seen which, but made sure she made a small mark.

Aulduin turned toward Rean. "Yes, he isn't little." She was sarcasticly. White teeth revealed their placing as she charged toward the cats, to make sure they ran off. Anger burned in her veins at the small rats, barely stable enough to run. As she trotted back, she noted that with all the cats around, there would be more food to scavenge, but she kept this thought to herself. No need for scavenging when your strong.
