Rock, Ice, Snow, and Wind...
As far as we know we are the last canine survivors of the Earthquake that shook the earth with devastating effect only five generations past. Our human companions of lore are nowhere to be found, and we have developed the ability to think with logic and emotion.

Well...some of us have.

Unfortunately some of our kind, the Hollow, still do not have the gift, or curse, of sentience. They roam the icy peaks that grew from the earth-wide quake, hunting for food, as we do...but with no tolerance for strangers and a savagery that seems only to grow as time plods along. We are nomads now, traveling from place to place, searching for warmer climate and more food with little success.

We are the survivors...but is survival enough?

The story takes place in a world that seems to have succumbed to another ice age after an earthquake of unimaginable size. What our canine characters do not know is that partial responsibility for the new ice age goes to humanity, nuclear energy, and nuclear weapons. The radiation is basically gone from the earth, but the side effects of it can be seen...not as drastically as some may have imagined, but enough to make a person blink. The dogs in this rp, may have some MINOR mutations...nothing major mind you. Commonly short haired dogs could have long fur, some canines may have larger teeth, or larger claws, and many beasts, canine or not, may be larger than their breed formerly was.
(I may ask individuals to cut down on a mutation if I think it is overboard for what I have in mind.)

~~Your characters CAN DIE!! This is a survival based rp.

~~Godmodding and powerplay will not be tolerated. This includes prey characters that are hunted in rp. Remember, all characters have strengths and weaknesses. No one here should be invincible or omnipresent. Please note that the setting takes place in a COLD environment...characters with short fur and little body fat will find themselves at a disadvantage.

~~Fights & Hunts between characters, predators, and prey will be rped out. My co-mods, and I will be rping the prey, and npcs. Be as realistic as possible in all of these situations, and note that you may be asked to describe a move that seems impossible or improbable from another's point of view. If the fight drags on for to long, and slows the rp a winner will be decided based on wounds, accumulation of wounds, size, etc.

~~This rp will have story driven qualities that will determine the future of each pack. Decisions on which path to take will be posed in the rp thread at regular intervals, as will updates on weather and threats to survival. Time skips may be integrated at key points in time.

~~Though death is avoidable characters can, and will, die if they do not take care of their health...Ie: eating, drinking water, doing their best to avoid serious wounds. If some of my mod's or I see any neglect to take care of one's own health...illness, or weakness, will likely be the result. Keep in mind that medical attention is relatively minimal at the moment, and make sure to follow the directions of whomever knows the most about medicine within the pack if you do not wish for a situation to get worse.

~~Avoid romantic relationships between your own characters...challenge yourself and try and form bonds with someone else's character.

~~All mature content must either fade to black or be taken off-site in accordance with LioDen’s roleplay rules. Mild violence and innuendo should be fine so long as you are mindful not to overdo it and respect the boundaries of your fellow roleplayers.

~~This rp is an LGBTQIA friendly thread.If you do not feel comfortable with this, you may wish to find a different place to rp.

~~This is intended to be a semi-literate/advanced roleplay. Please be capable of writing a full paragraph (five sentences) at minimum and practicing proper grammar. Occasional writer’s block is understandable, but keep in mind that if you break this rule every post you may be asked to leave.

~~No sparkle dogs.

~~Be as active as possible, especially if you have a high ranking character. I understand if life gets in the way, but please contact me if you won't be able to post regularly so we can integrate a reason for your character's absence in rp. Otherwise, your character will likely be replaced or killed off...

~~For now each player is limited to five characters in this rp.

~~You may use photo references for your characters, but you must link back to the picture's original source. Tinypic, Pinterest, Photobucket and other photo sharing sites generally do not count as original sources. If you use artwork it needs to either be your own or something that was specifically made for you. Please provide proof. Art theft will not be tolerated.

~~By signing up you agree to respect your fellow roleplayers. I expect everyone to be kind to one another out of character. Please write "I read and agree to the rules of this roleplay" if you have done so.

These guys are my Co-Mods for this rp thread. Their help is greatly appreciated (as I would not be able to do this alone), and they have the same authority as myself.
