I really like this idea. I've been trying to get an Ice and Cherry Blossom cub with 0 luck at all. I get that some bases are supposed to be rarer, but using up a gal's life trying to get a cub with a specific base is kinda.... Disheartening.

same, I've had my boy for 2 months (i guess not long) but breeding with bases in his group still wont spit out a celestial base or any good ones for that matter.

As much as I would like to support this, I just can't. I breed Sidereal bases, which everyone knows is one of the hardest bases to breed because it's a Medium. It just takes away the pride and sense of accomplishment I feel when I FINALLY breed a Sidereal to have an item like this. I know some people that don't even use Ochre Gnawrocks because they prefer natural markings and, in this case, I guess I just prefer natural bases :)

I think this is a good idea. Multiple bases have gone pretty much extinct or super rare in the past because they are so hard to pass, like the sunset base, and it's frustrating for everyone when you just can't get one of the many many bases there are out there. But if there was an item which gave only a small, but significant improved chance to pass a base. I'm not trying to say, HEY LETS ALL GET SUNSET BASES, and be super obnoxious or something, but i thought it would be really cool to have something like this on Lioden.

But of course there would be the fall of value, which i didn't think about when i first wrote this. so maybe the item only has i slighter chance, say 5%, of passing and can only be used on Females and only once.

Maybe there could be rare, random, 'fail chance' where the base you want doesn' pass at all but maybe the mane shape or eyes or a marking in 100% opacity or something. Just a thought.

I feel certain restrictions like this would ease the problem of the loss of value of the rare, special bases. I guess we just need to brainstorm a little to find them. I support this suggestion.

No support. Like candi, I think an item that increases the chances of the base passing would take away from the sense of accomplishment that you get when you pass it. It will also flood the market with these bases because there are a few everyone will be using this item with - sidereal, sepia, pearl, lilac, sunset. celestial and skyward as well. these bases will be more plentiful and therefore much cheaper. The market for these bases already has its fluctuations. I've seen sidereal lions sold for 100gb and I've seen them sold for 30gb. I don't really want to see them down to like 5gb because everyone has one they want to get rid of.

The only way I might support this is if it only worked on females. Kings can already mass breed NCLs to try and get the bases they want. Females have limited breedings, so I could see why someone with a sidereal lioness would need this item - the chances are so low that the rare base females are essentially useless.

You have to keep in mind the balance between too hard and too easy. I don't really like the idea of killing the challenge of rare base breeding. It doesn't add anything positive to the game in my opinion.

Agreed with Cin. The only way I can see this working out is if it was only used on females, since even with the use of Yohimbe Barks there wouldn't be such a massive influx of special bases being bred, compared to being able to constantly use it on a male.

I don't think 10% is a very good rate. I was thinking like Ochre Gnawrock and Saltlick type, 100% chance. I'd say at least a 50% chance with this and it would probably be twice as expensive as a Gnawrock, still.

That seems pay to win. Special bases are one of the few markets still left intact. We don't need an item that has a 1/2 chance of passing the base, let alone one that guarantees it. Even if you did price it twice as high as an Ochre Gnawrock, it's still going to be a common item seeing as the average player can easily earn 2+ Gnawrocks (1 of these base passing items if you doubled the price) alone in September if they really wanted to.

This would really help Medium base breeders. We've pretty much been wiped out the past couple of years being our bases are the biggest with mix bases.

This is a great suggestion, as for the comments abt the value decrease, we already have crunchies and gnaws and rosettes/ g1 hybrid/and nrl clones are still valuable. Some ppl even exclude crunchies from reverse breeding for that reason. I don't think there's a real reason to *not* at least have the option? Maybe if the percent was less than crunchy but we had an event (like crunchy and gnaw) that you could only get then from, then they'd be very valuable and harder to abuse.

unfortuantely I think this is far to OP. anything with passing bases is very OP. Bases are the 1 thing that you cant use an item to pass without using something that copies the entire looks. I like the ide and all, but I do feel this would break the game
