What I feel needs to be done is, just remove mane based requests entirely - mane types, markings, and colors from the Gorilla quests.

First thing is.. cubs under 12 months cannot possibly show any mane yet. How possibly can a gorilla know what mane stuff they'd have and why would it want something that cannot be seen untill the cubs are being rid of?..

Second is, nobody breeds for mane stuff. Yes it's common but nobody wants it and nobody puts it on their lions. 98% of manes in trading centre are diabolic or explore (thick/scarce/normal), nearly no one has or breeds custom mane lions. Same with colors, most of them are unholy because it's applicable, or onyx/white/what works with the king's design. Nobody breeds custom mane colors like brown or black.

Same with mane markings, only veeeery few actually are getting applied to lions. Some onyx may be found from time to time, but brown, chocolate, blue, red - they're simply nonexistent because nobody wants them on their lions. People would rather have another body marking than a mane.

So everything mane related is very much redundant for Gorilla quests. It should be removed entirely I think - there's a good enough variety of bases, base markings, eyes and noses to provide a good dynamic base for the quests.

Another issue (which I just ran into today) is that the gorilla will request a cub with a specific nose color, but you cannot browse by nose color in trades. Parameters for the Gorilla Enclave should be limited only to fields that can be searched for in the Trading Center. If the Enclave is is giving out quests that can't be completed because it asks for a result that cannot be found, it isn't serving its purpose - not to mention wasting time and (possibly) SB.

Shetani, you can search for nose color with Vulture search - just tick "listed for trade" and it'll list all lions for sale. Downside is though you need to check each for price.
I feel noses are a reasonable search, it just has to have an option to search for them in TC directly.

I support this completely. If the system can't request based on rarity or availability of a marking, then it should give us a range of acceptable colors (all golden dark solid). Also, we definitely need a nose color search feature with the new gorilla enclave requests.
