So, as many know, the snail in Reptile Roundup temporarily slows the speed of the player's snake. Many users (myself, included) don't like this feature, and others have mistakenly thought it was the result of a laggy game. Because items only come up one at a time in the game, the player is required to eat the snail to proceed.

I propose that there is a game option to toggle the effect off/on, so that players who don't like this lag can play without it, but those that do can keep it. This could mean the snail image would still show up, but not have the effect.

OR maybe the snail doesn't show up at all in the game if it's toggled off.

OR another option is that when the snail comes up, so does a second, normal creature that the player can choose to eat and the snail disappears once the other creature is eaten.

I know nothing about coding, so I don't know which would be the easiest to implement, but there are a few options as to how this could be executed. Thank you for the consideration and I hope there is mutual feeling in the community.

The only reason I don't support this is because it really is part of the game, and makes an easy game a little bit harder.

Well, that's why I proposed that the player can toggle it on and off themselves, so its their decision whether they want it or not.

I wouldn't agree with Sun that it makes it harder, it just feels kinda... cheap or unnecessary.
Like usually it wears off near a wall or obstacle if I keep trying to play normally so suddenly I smash into something when the lag stops (and it does feel like lag because how the snake moves)... so instead I just go in circles until it stops if the next food is in a bad spot.

That doesn't add challenge at that point, it's a delaying tactic.

PLEASE make this a thing!! I really don't think it adds extra challenge or anything, its just annoying. I hate how it doesn't even give you warning about when it's gonna end, and you end up smashing into a wall/rock. (And I actually just thought it was lag when I first joined :/)And from what I've seen it doesn't even give you any points! I think it'd be a better idea to make it so that there's another normal critter that you can eat instead of the snail, and they both appear at the same time, THAT would add a bit more challenge because it forces you to think less about mindlessly moving towards the icon that randomly appears and gets you to actually think about what you're doing.
I HATE the snail, PLEASE implement this suggestion. SUPPORT!
