The boy sat there in the back of the classroom, tapping his pencil on the desktop as he sat there bored. 15 more minutes Eli... Just 15 more minutes... He sighed as he looked around the classroom. The boy had already been finished with his work and had nothing better to do. He stared out the window as he watched the school's famous (and only) Sakura tree blooms flutter from the tree with the wind. His pals were probably waiting for him at the track behind the school.

For the past ten minutes, she had just been watching the hand on the clock go around....and around...and around again.... She sighed, leaning her head back against the chair before digging into her backpack, trying to find her book. But it seemed she left it at home, and she growled to herself before resting her forehead against the table. Fifteen minutes was way too long to wait....way too long.... Alexis propped her head up on her hands, closing her eyes for a moment before looking down at her hands, tracing patterns on the desk lightly to try and occupy herself.

"Hey teach!" Elijah sat up in his desk and called out. The teacher perked up from the papers she was grading and going through. "Yes Eli?" She responded. Eli huffed and slumped back over his desk when he replied. "Can we go early? Almost all of us are finished with work and have better things to do than sit here." He grumbled as his deep brown eyes lazily looked at her. "When everyone is finished I will see..." She replied and focused back on the papers. Eli groaned loudly, making sure it was heard up front as he dramatically slumped into his chair.

Alexis looked up when someone shouted from the front of the room, and she sighed a bit when she saw who it was. Everyone was impatient, of course, but it wasn't like the teacher was allowed to let them leave.... She started drawing on the desk again, this time with a pencil, silently chiding herself for leaving her book at home, but she did have a notebook with her... She pulled it out, planning on spending the remainder of class writing in it--she didn't know what, but even thinking about it was better than doing nothing.

"Well if you are going to be dramatic about it then--" The teacher was interrupted by the bell. "Finally!!" He groaned and grabbed his bag that had his track uniform in it and rushed out of the room, ignoring what the teacher was saying. It was obvious that Elijah was the troublemaker and somewhat popular one of the school. He made his way through the crowd to the track field behind the school and hurried to the dressing room as the tardy bell would ring any moment now.

Alex couldn't really fight a smile when Eli took off out of the room, shaking her head a little as she grabbed her bag and made her way out as well. She couldn't participate in track for a while because of the ankle that she broke, which really pissed her off, but she still felt the need to come to the practices and meets, which was where she was headed now.

After getting dressed, he met with his pals at the track as they stretched a bit to get ready for their small race. "Ready for me to kick your ass Eli?" His closest friend, Justin, smirked over at him as he challenged him. "Ha! You wish you could." He growled as his eyes would flicker from deep brown to bright hazel and back to deep brown as he and the rest of his friends lined up. This was a simple race, nothing meaningful but the boys took it seriously.

Alex made her way over to the stands, dropping her backpack down and going over to stand by the rails, clasping her hands together as she watched the boys stretch. A small smile rose to her face at their banter, and she shifted her weight a little bit, turning to sit down, not wanting to stand up to put stress on her ankle. She drummed her fingers lightly on her knee as she ducked her head to the side, not wanting to seem like she was staring at them too much.

The boys lined up side by side with Elijah and Justin next to each other. They had a spare teammate tell them when to go. When the boy signaled them to go, the 5 of them bursted off running. At first, they all seemed to stay next to each other until they were about mid-way. Elijah's and Justin's gaze met for a split second then they smirked at another before they tensed up and put all their energy into their feet as they seemed to leave the others behind. Elijah's body was leaned forward slightly with his hands into fists as his whole body seemed more relaxed than it should be. He wasn't exactly using all his energy yet. It was when they were about 10 feet from the finish line when Elijah leaned forward even more and his body tensed as his muscles twitched while doing so and sprung out in front of Justin. "Hey!" He called out and Elijah only laughed as he made it across the finish line.

Alex started watching them again, leaning forward a bit so she could see. After a moment she stood up, stepping down the bleachers to the rail, leaning against it as she watched Eli and Justin break away from the rest, laughing to herself as she shook her head. Some of the boys knew her from girls track, but not all of them, and she felt a bit uncomfortable as they came back to the start line, but she didn't move, knowing that would just be weirder than if she just stood there.

Elijah chuckled and ran his fingers through his hair as it was dampened with sweat. Justin and the others crossed it not long after he did and sat down, chatting to each other. "So Alex..." Elijah turned to he looked at her with a grin. "What did you think?" His grin turned into a smirk and Justin glanced at her as well.

Alex walked over to them when Eli turned to her, sitting down and resting her hands on her knees, tilting her head at him, "What do you mean, what did I think? You always win." She snorted a bit, reaching up to pull her hair back into a ponytail.

"Not always." He smirked and chuckled as Justin playfully hit his shoulder. Elijah ignored him for a moment ask he asked a question. "So when is your stubborn ankle going to heal?" He stood up and moved so he was in front of her from the other side of the fence and leaned against it.

She snorted again, rubbing her arm a little as she looked down at her ankle, sighing, "Doctor said I couldn't run for another month." She leaned against the fence when he did, making a small face as she lifted her leg to take the weight off of her ankle.
