"Hey Matt, you found someone to bring in yet?"
"Yep, sent them the first message not too long ago."
Serenity bounces in excitement. Finally, after the long work they put into this game, they can truly play it! With someone else! "Calm down a little, Renny, it's your turn to send them the debriefing." Matthew just shook his head smiling at the actions of the smaller girl. He hopped out of the seat and began to set up their FEVR stations. Serenity quickly took his place in front of the computer to send out a message to this person. The message read:

Hello lucky participant!
Thank you for accepting our invitation to this special play session. In a few moments we shall enter FEVR virtual space and begin the game, waiting for your arrival. Take the digital game copy we have provided you and sync it into your system. I believe you know how to begin a game. Once you are inside the game, choose to join a session. The code to enter will be "DevsessionFP" with no quotations. From there you will customize yourself from the extensive beginner's wardrobe and armory, and once leaving we will be waiting for you in the starting town. We're sure to stick out to you, but just in case you can check your map in your visor menu for us. We'll be the gold player dots, you'll be the blue one!

"You finished Renny?" Matthew had finished set up a short while ago and was eager to begin.
"Yes Matty!" Serenity hit send and hopped up, taking her helmet and place in her station, and began the process of starting the game.

Dorothy awoke to the sound of a message. She was still half asleep but after reading the message she was leaping with excitement. She instantly did as the invitation said and synced the game to her system, all the while mumbling excited phrases to herself. Then began the beginning steps of the game, she couldn't wait to meet new people and the very people that created the game. Dorothy chose the session and entered the code.

"Yahtzee" Dorothy exclaimed as she was in the session and quite happy and nervous. Now she picked out her wardrobe. Obviously picking something she could move easily and hide in. She chose skinny jeans and a dark shirt and a green jacket with a hood. She decided to change her hair style cause why not. Her brown hair now has subtle purple streaks, all pulled into a tight ruthless coil of a braid.

Once she finished with her wardrobe and what not, she was in the beginning city and just like the invitation said there was no need for the player dots.

Serenity bounded between various points of the street, happy everything she and her partner worked out came out so well! The dim cavern the city was set in was barely lit by the small streams of light pouring through cracks, holes, and crevices in the rocks and dirt above. The light then sparkled brilliantly on the crystals protruding from the walls, giving the whole city a blue glow, that is where there wasn't a sign bright with neon lights. The many NPCs around with their realistic AI went through, greeting Serenity, and soon after Matt, as they went by. Some of them wore plain clothing while others didn't. Some were fully human while others were not.

"Serenity, I understand the excitement, but please we have someone to meet!"
"Sorry! I can't help it!" At that she held back a little, both to let Matthew catch up with her and so the person could find them. She looked through the lively starting street for anyone new and- oh, who is this? "Found them!" Matthew looked back and she was right. A new face in the crowd. A girl. Touching a small device by his ear brought up a hologram menu, showing a minimap. The name on the girl's gold marker read Lala. Which reminded him...
"We're going by our game names now right? You know, since that's what NPCs will use?"
"Yep! Meaning I'm Feather, you're Scales!"

Dorothy was so excited and nervous she couldn't wait to meet the new people and play the new game. Dorothy could not believe the city was just a game. It was immaculately built and everything was so real it was incredible! She kept walking towards the creators of the game. She still was in shock that they picked her and she was going to play along side them. It was crazy. She had her hood over her head and her sleeves all the way down. She was so nervous she was fidgeting with her sleeves.

She watched as one of the creators was jumping around everywhere, she must be Serenity. Then there was another person that was quite behind her. Soon after he said something Dorothy saw Serenity come back to a stand still as if waiting for him. As Dorothy saw her turn around and face her she knew she was right to have gone into the game. She kept walking just a little bit faster now to them, she was so excited.

Serenity- or Feather as she would prefer for better immersion- bounced with her knees a little. Matthew- well, Scales as Feather pointed out- chuckled a little and quickly put his right wing around her to steady her. "Stop it ya lil' derp." Feather giggled before stopping with a drawn out "okay." She played with her now bright red hair. It was soft and perfectly textured, just as they had planned for. Scales admired his one arm, now mechanical, and how well it reacted as he made it move.

Feather soon gets fed up with waiting. "Alright, come on demon boy!" Taking hold of Scales' hand she takes him down the street to the girl. "Hi there! You must be the one we contacted earlier! I'm Serenity, but here you can call me Feather!" She looks back at the guy holding her hand, and he takes it as waiting for his turn to introduce himself. "Oh, right. I'm Matthew, but my game name is Scales." He holds out his other, mechanical hand for a handshake.
