Everyone loves a good fight. It's practically in our nature. But these days, the bloody jousts and gladiator fights are considered too macabre for public viewing. So what's a human to do? Create the International Fighters' League; apparently. A place where the greatest martial artists, wrestlers, and even streetpeople can compete for money and fame. In the IFL, there are two categories: Armed and unarmed. In Armed Guild, the weapons are not sharp, or heavy. They are usually light staves or something similar, designed to act as an extension of the fighter. Unarmed combat relies on the fighter's body skills. The league hosts large tournaments often, to determine who will be televised live. At these tournaments, any person can fight anyone within their category, regardless of skill level. These fights are presided over by the Sensei and Knight Templar, who head the Unarmed and Armed sectors. If they deign your show fitting, you may gain a new belt or scabbard color. Even if you do not rise, you will gain skill. As an interesting aside, each participant is given a dog or cat as a pet. these animals serve as bomb-defusers, keeping participants calm and out of trouble. The RanksSensei: 900 to 1000 skill (preset). Presides over Unarmed Guild spars. Knight: 900 to 1000 skill (preset). Presides over Armed Guild spars. Masters: 800 to 900 skill (preset). Train Guild-members and spar with some. Guild-members: 0 to 800 skill (gained). They fight for skill and a chance to earn a higher belt. Belts are as follows: White: 0 to 100 Yellow: 100 to 200 Gold: 200 to 300 Orange: 300 to 400 Green: 400 to 500 Blue: 500 to 600 Purple: 600 to 700 Brown: 700 to 800 Red: 800 to 900 (master rank) Black: 900 to 1000 (Sensei/KT only) Tournament Rules~Fight clean and fight fair ~If you fight one of lower skill and win, you gain 5 skill. If you fight one of equal or higher skill, you gain 10 skill. Loss has no repercussions. ~ You may not fight two back-to-back fights ~No fighting outside the schedule. ~Be civil off the arena floor Character SheetsView and Post Character Sheets0 players like this post! Rules~Feel free to fight outside of the schedule (just the in-arena spars) and not be too civil ~Before a fight, PM your opponent's player and determine the winner and any injuries (injuries should be rare, as padding is worn) ~No gore is allowed whatsoever. Do not describe and fighting in great detail. You will receive a warning. ~You will not always gain a new belt once you reach the skill threshold. Your Guild presider needs to determine if you get a new belt. ~No OOC drama or hate. 0 players like this post! Like? |
