It was a normal day of exploring the vast lands of the savannah. As the sun began to set, Hearthold turned around and made his way back home. The trek seemed longer, somehow, and when the moon rose high into the night sky, he realized he had strayed from his path home.

"Oh, snap," he murmured. His paws felt heavy, and his mind was getting groggy. He needed rest, but if his cubhood taught him anything, sleeping in the open was a terrible idea.

So, drowsiness creeping up on him, Heartgold sniffed the air and headed towards a promising lion-scent.

With Yevan, thankfully, being asleep, the young lioness had set out on a little night walk. Snowy Cliff was old enough to appear nearly old enough to hunt. Making a throaty humming noise as she started to descend the rather slippery and steep slope, however her skillful paws could easily make sure she didn't fall down and ride on a rather... bumpy slip and slide. Her ears perked up slightly as she neared the end of the mountainous area, snow becoming sparse as her meteor shard necklace clinked gently. She swore she had heard something, or smelled another lion...
Curious, she started towards the dark, sloping lands before her, still much hotter than her usual home.
