I'd love to see a fun reason to breed for stats. I think a battle arena would be a nice option. This would also provide a purpose for sub males

About the battle arena:

Users can fight each other. You can fight with your main male or your sub males.

Stats matter. Stat amount would calculate an appropriate feature:

Skill: A lion can gain skill from winning battles, but not other stats. The lions skill number could allow it to enter higher level battle tiers. For example-1-10 skill tier 1, 11-50 tier 2, etc. There could be open tiers and skill exclusive tiers.

Strength would impact how much damage is dealt doing offensive moves.

Stamina would be like the health bar. Every move made and every hit taken would reduce stamina. Once stamina is gone, the lion loses.

Agility would impact the success of defensive moves

Speed would impact the success of offensive moves

Smarts would determine frequency of access to certain moves and usage of items.

Every battle won would award Prowess points. Higher tiers would award more points. Winning battles against higher skill lions in open tiers would also win more points.

You would need to gain certain amounts of skill in order to unlock certain moves. Birth skill would not be a factor for some of these moves, there could be some gain only exclusive unlocks. alternatively, moves could be bought with prowess points from the battle shop.

Shop items:

You would be able to buy things in the shop with prowess points you earn in battles. Items could include:

Armor and weapons that lose uses.
New moves for battling (exclusive to the lion they are purchased for, could last a lifetime or x amount of battles)
Trophies that are displayed on the lion page or den page
The ability to "praise" or "heckle" another user. This would be similar to leaving poop on someones den-it would show the message for a certain amount of time. Players could opt to enable or disable this. Once a taunt or praise is made however, it cannot be removed until it expires. Default setting for this feature would be set to disabled. An example message would be: I thought I saw your mother at the waterhole the other day, but it turns out it was a hippo
Basically things that would make them want to challenge you, or in the case of praise, make them want to work harder.

Format would be: (sender lion name) walks by, notices (receiver lion name) and shouts: (message)

then either runs away laughing or smiles, depending if its a jeer or praise




Monthly event challengers:

During certain monthly events, your lion could have the chance to battle NPCs. Beating the npc can give a special trophy or exclusive rewards.
