I have a line art made for these species (Second Post) But I want to know who would buy one of these before I actually start.

Please comment if your interested because I want to know how many people are planning on buying! Also I might look for possible lore and other things a closed species needs!

The Idea
My idea is something cat-like but they have antlers and they also have hooves for their front "feet". Facial features are very cat like but with fangs (On the larger side). (See lines in second post)

The Name
The scientific name is "Felis virginianus". A mix between the domesticated cat, "Felis catus" and the Whitetail Deer, "Odocoileus virginianus". "Dekos" are called this because they are part Deer and part cat, cat in Japanese is Neko. So De + ko = Deko!
Credit to 13th Nightmare (#44152) for the name "Deko". They are the one that suggested it.

The Lore
Japanese scientists were doing top secret experiments on different animals. They wanted something majestic but also soft and cuddly. They tried a bunny and a horse, and that was a monstrosity. Then they tried a zebra and a lion, some of those escaped and managed to get to Africa, maybe you've seen one? Then they finally got the perfect combination of majestic and cuteness to create a deer-cat hybrid.

The scientists wanted this creature to remain a secret until they fully understood it. But the creatures outsmarted the silly humans and escaped. They ran out of the lab into the city. The cat part of them wanted to hide in an alley, the deer part wanted to run in front of a car? The poor little guys didn't stand a chance in the world , they don't even understand their own thought processes. A brave male Deko gathered together all the escaped Dekos and formed the very first Deko herd. He had to find food for his fellow Dekos so he set of into the polluted city. They wandered around in back alleys until the Alpha scented other animals. He made a low purring noise and everyone followed.

The scent kept getting stronger until they reached a tall, tall fence. On top of the fence was a sign. The sign said "Welcome to Ueno Zoo" but of course, Dekos cant read, but they saw these strange black and white bears on the sign. So the all pad into the zoo and see that some large cats with big hair surrounding their neck and faces are being put into a cage. The Alpha Deko approaches the large cat and the Alpha Deko explains that they want to go somewhere safe where there are very little people and lots of other creatures to be with. The big cat then tells them to all go into a huge metal crate used to transport animals, he points them to a crate that's about to close and all the Dekos run. Surprisingly they run very fast and gracefully. They all make it to the crate unseen except for the other animals. The crate close and all the Dekos can see and hear is pure black and the crate being picked up and drop onto a ship.

The crate soon arrives in a hot place with tall grass. The Dekos love it, they aren't afraid like they were in the city and the air is so much easier to breathe as well. The Alpha Deko finds a lion pride and talks to the king of the pride. The King and Alpha make an arrangement that some Dekos will be sold into other Kings' prides to be cared for and to start other small herds under the protection of these strong lions.
And that is how the Dekos are being sold to your prides here in Africa
