Early morning silence, the sound of birds babbling on branches hung far out of reach. Dust churning on sun scorched lands. The soft click of teeth and scratch of claws. A moments breathe stilled. Red and white fur stilled as the lioness came to a halt her tail twitching slightly behind her flank. She clicked her teeth again and again, a soft murmur on her lips. The air smelled of fish, and copper, diluted in its own way, but still it was there. The harrier on her back gave a soft shrill sound before turning to gently move to her shoulder. She gave a soft snicker there, her lips pulling up a twisting smile. "Hush." She whispered softly to the white feathered beast. This was Lady Dust, a strong willed queen, and a sister of the king.

His white mane dragged the ground as he sniffed the trail his sister had left behind. White feathers and soft palpable fur littered the way to the marketplace she had told him. The skull clicked over his face as he stood, and he shook out his white mane. He gave a low chortling chuckle before a bellowing out a roar. Telling his pride he would be leaving. He stopped on the outskirts of his territory, a younger male had followed his. His sub. He gave a low growl. "Watch the pride. Two of the cubs are more trouble then they are worth, they will be the hardest to keep in line." He snarled at the male. He paused, looking up at the sky. "You will be heir one day, Camdin, that is if you can show me." He spoke gently, betraying his gentle ways. With that he left trailing after his sister. She may be queen to his pride, but Zekiel was in no mood for his twin.

The young female tread softly on the ground, catching scent scent of a large pride up ahead. Her stomach churned, but she carried on, a small mewling cub in her mouth. She caught scent of the King of the pride, a well known King at that, Zekiel. The cub in her mouth, basically newborn, mewled louder, hungry for food. The female sighed, her name was Glory, and the cub was Mercy.

Ametrinal Eris padded towards the well talked about bazaar, Her tail swaying behind her as she journeyed forth. This would be her first time here, first time away from her pride and routine patrols. This didn't scare the lioness, she had seen worse in her days of course. Upon reaching the outskirts of all the shops and eyeing the stalls for items and lions, Her eyes a soft lavender watched patiently as lions passed in front of her searching gaze.

The lioness herself almost looked otherworldly, Her fur of moonstone and markings of onyx and white made her seem like a walking galaxy. Though these colors weren't the only defining features as there were two much more roaring calls for attention, her bony protrusions from her skull and down her spine large curved horns graced her head followed by a well sculpted row of spines. A crown of moonstone graced her head, swirl markings danced across her body. She was tufted at the ears and elbows, the fur dark onyx like the markings that covered her lithe body.

Glory knew she must be careful, if she was to reason with the king. She needed food to provide milk for her adopted cub. The poor thing was skinny as a twig. She walked up to the pride, her body low to the ground and her ears layer back, showing submission. She requested to see the king of the pride, who was, as she was told, 'busy with his sub' but one of the lionesses fetched him, after seeing the skinny cub. Glory waited, curled around her little cub, grooming the tiny thing protectively.

He was beckoned. The roar of a female lion. He turned his white mane towards his territory and trotted back, passing his sub who gave him a snooty look. He stuck out his tongue at the male, who bellowed a laugh. As the laugh faded into the distance he paused infront of a female. One who looked sickly thin and her fur clung to her bones like tattered rags. He tilted his head to her, and the small cub infront of him. He lifted his good eye to her as the mask slid to the ground. He gave a soft grumble as he called over a broodmother. "Feed the cub and fetch some meat for this one." The lioness a red framed girl darted off to fetch a leg from a kill they had dragged back moments before. He was a kind king, but his limits were sparse and far between. "Your name?"

She huffed and jolted the bird around as he sat along her shoulder blades. She sniffed through the markets her eyes catching on some of the gems that in turn fascinated her. Though something else caught her eyes, a horned lioness with colors that were striking. She padded forward slowly, pacing towards the sleek female. The harrier gave off soft chirps before fluttering off on strong wings.

The lionesses eyes while looking around placed upon the feline approaching her the Queen raised her eyebrows to give her a more opened eyed look, straightening her back she gave a sway of her tail the look of stardust sending shimmers to the ground as what seemed to be a celestial fox skittered away into the grass fading out with each pawstep.

"My name is Glory, Sire." Glory answered, not daring to make eye contact. "And this is Mercy, my adopted cub." Glory purred at her cub protectively. Once the lioness came back, Glory devored the leg, and Mercy started suckling her milk. "Thank you. I'm in your debt."

Zekiel gave a weary sigh as he watched the broodmother and the cub. "Glory, a name fitting one of your beauty. Why have you come?" He mused gently putting a paw under chin and raising her head. "You have nothing to fear but fear itself child." He spoke gently as he let the other lioness of his pride shuffle about them, some moving to bring cacti and food near, others bring pelts to keep the cub warm.

Lady Dust eyed the lioness. "You are a strange one, oddly beautiful." She mused in an almost chidding voice. "What brought you to this market?" She mused to the Queen. Her ears twitched as she watched the celestial fox dart and fade into the grass.
