You'll be able to use them in November ( http://liodenwiki.wikidot.com/november-event-whispering-ancestors ) so the best thing to do is to store them up instead of getting rid of them.

One herb (Fermented Marula I think it's called) either raises or drops Energy (I thinkk), and you don't need to use it in November.

Fermented Marula Fruit is not a herb, it's found only during an event and cannot be found outside of it.

Herbs found all-year round can also be used to feed battle beetles and some, to craft things. For example you can craft 30 Umganu into Red Lace applicator, or Marula Fruits into a decor Marula Fruit Branch.

The description saying "You arent skilled enough to use it" refer to November event where Shamans request herbs for rituals; the herbs were initially this event only, but later got more uses because there were too much of them.
