1.
No sexual content, please.
2.
No swearing. It's completely unnecessary.
3.
No bullying outside the roleplay. You can bully inside the roleplay, but only with the permission of the other character.
4.
No gore or disturbing scenes. Why that would be needed on a pet rp, I dunno.
5.
Adding threads is an automatic ban.
6.
If you are roleplaying an animal, be realistic. Your animal cannot talk. It cannot simply destroy the cage. It cannot be purple. You get the gist.
7.
Have fun! That's what the roleplay is here for.
8.
Be descriptive. Don't do two word sentences as your reply, because it's boring and difficult to follow.

Scarab--

Scarab flapped around the room energetically, ducking and swerving to avoid the few tables and chairs that were strewn around the Animal Room seemingly at random. The cockatiel's pale feathers shifted with the wind she was creating as she soared around the space. She glanced back towards her cage and clacked her beak, whistling. She didn't want to go back in. It had been difficult to figure out how to get the latch to unclasp itself from the cage itself, but because the latch was already very loose, a good amount of shaking did the trick.

Scarab skidded to a stop on one of the tables, fanning her wings and tail to stop herself from careening over the edge. She shook herself out, trying to act dignified, and glared around for any other animals who might laugh. No one cared about Scarab's unfortunate landing. The cockatiel walked calmly across the table's surface, burning with embarrassment. It was a bird's pride and joy to fly; Scarab didn't want her many-times-too-much inflated ego to deflate because the table had recently been polished.

Scarab nearly slipped again and took off, flapping up towards her cage. She perched on the top and started to groom herself. She wished some other bird would come groom her pin feathers; they were irritating her, and she'd only just started molting. She pulled a loose feather out of her wing and dropped it on the floor boredly. Scarab really wanted someone to talk to.

Ruby came into the Bird Room. She gasped as she saw Scarab. "Scarab!" She clicked her tongue to indicate she had treats. She grabbed a bird treat ((COME PREPARED KIDS)) from the box on the table and clicked her tongue again.

Scarab--

Scarab looked up, pin feathers now forgotten, and glanced at the treat in Ruby's hand. Scarab shook herself out, feathers drifting to the ground around her, and flapped across the room towards the Manager. The pale yellow cockatiel landed on Ruby's head and looked down at the treat, sizing it up, before hopping down onto Ruby's shoulder. She whistled twice and made a grab for the treat, missing and diving off of Ruby's arm instead.

Scarab's wings snapped open and she flapped frantically, coming to a less-than-graceful stop on the tile floor. She looked up at the treat, waiting so tantalizingly in the Manager's palm, and ruffled her feathers, irritated. Her pin feathers started itching again and Scarab attempted to rub her head on her foot in an effort to get them to stop annoying her.

Ruby quickly, but gently, grabbed Scarab. "We'll let you out lattterrr!" She groaned, setting her in the cage and locking it. She noticed it was broken. "Okay, then." She gently grabbed Scarab again and set her in the cage beside the other. "Not used, not broken." She locked it securely.

Scarab--

Scarab ruffled her feathers, irritated, as the new, working latch was closed, locking the cockatiel into the cage. She clicked her beak and mimicked the floorboards for a while until finally falling asleep. She settled down, resting her beak on her chest, and closed her eyes, dreaming about millets and bird treats. The delicious (?) food floated past her before disappearing and Scarab began to feel hungry and depressed. So many treats, wasted!

The cockatiel woke up from her strange dream feeling as if she hadn't eaten in all of her life. She let out a rather loud whistle, hoping to attract a human to feed her, and when no one came, she sang, "Purple!" in her off-key voice until she heard footsteps. "Purple! Purple! Purple!" Of course, the ashenfallow cockatiel didn't know what purple meant. She'd simply heard it from her previous owners' daughter before she accidentally escaped and the strange saying had stuck with her for a while. Scarab liked the noise, even if she had no clue what it meant.

Ruby||Female||Manager
Ruby went to her office to work, before hearing 'purple' over and over. Ruby went to the birds. "Is purple your favorite color, now?" She asked, amused. "Because green is better."

Scarab--

Scarab hopped from foot to foot, still singing "Purple." She flapped her wings, nearly tripping over her own feathers, and started grabbing at the bars on the cage with her beak. She attempted to convey her hunger properly, but she wasn't sure that Ruby understood her message. "Purple!"

Ruby||Female||Manager
Ruby tossed a few treats in the cage. "We'll get you fed properly when you're asleep. I don't wanna go chasing a bird around again, no thanks." She said, leaning on the cage a little.

Scarab--

Scarab pecked at the treats, every last crumb disappearing down her beak. She looked back up at the manager, still hungry, and started gnawing on the bars to the cage again. When Ruby leaned on the cage, Scarab grasped the fabric of her shirt in her beak, seeing if it was edible. Unfortunately, the fabric was not, and Scarab let go after making a little hole in the material. She clicked her beak and started casually grooming her wing feathers.

Tetris--

The serval twisted anxiously around in her kennel, pale spotted fur rubbing against the sides of the cage as she sought a way out. Tetris hated small spaces, after the freedom of being out in the natural world, and she especially hated small spaces she couldn't get out of. She was used to seeing for miles on open grasslands or at least being able to bat whatever was blocking her view out of the way, but now she was cooped up and there were too many walls. there were walls next to Tetris, there were walls behind her, and most importantly, the mysterious grid of some material with a shiny, silvery color blocked her view of--you guessed it--another wall.

She had tried biting at the bars, clawing the walls around her, and even pushing the wall above her, but nothing had worked. It seemed there was a way to remove the grid from the outside, but Tetris didn't know the secret. Only the manager, Ruby, could remove the grid, and whenever Tetris went back into the small space, the manager put them back. Tetris didn't entirely understand how it was done; she hissed, clawed at the ground, and settled down to stare blankly at the bars. Someplace nearby, she could hear someone saying "purple" in a strange, off-key voice. The monotonous voice ticked her off, but it was impossible to ignore. The irritable serval glared at the wall. "Purple. Purple. Purple."

Ruby giggled at Scarab, pulling her shirt away. "I will... Go to sleep." She heard the noise from the other room and went to investigate. She opened Tetris' cage, gently petting the cat.

Tetris--

The serval allowed Ruby to pet her, although she wished she could run down the halls like she had that one time. Ruby had gone chasing after her in her pajamas; she hadn't latched the cage properly the previous night and Tetris had escaped to go sprinting from room to room. She'd knocked over the phone and accidentally dialed 9-1-1; the police had come to the pet shop to discover Ruby wrestling Tetris back into her cage. That had taken some explaining, but Tetris had never felt so exhilarated since she'd been taken from her homeland.

She saw her chance and took it; she slipped from Ruby's fingers and jumped down to the ground, bolting towards the nearest piece of furniture she could squeeze under. She escaped beneath it, tail slipping into shadows, and peered out from the dark with glowing eyes, looking up at the manager innocently.
