Hey Im once again trying to get back into lioden and im not even sure how to read half of threads that i used to follow.

I really want to make a new stud but i cant dig through the old news and figure out whats worth what anymore, since ive been gone for so long.
If anyone wants to adopt me/take me under their wing id appreciate it.

Hello, I can help you with any questions you have. I am a naturalist breeder however so popular markings aren't my forte. A new thing is clean heritage which is where you basically start and stat a clan from scratch without any inbreeding. Stats have gone down on the market recently and rosettes are very popular. Take a look in some sales threads to figure out which markings sell best.

Mutations are also great!

@Dad, im looking for making a more natural lion, rosette has never been a fave of mine, so im not looking to do anything super difficult.
When did not inbreeding take effect? Are people just starting over by selling all their females or just stopping the lines? I've always kept a line of males, i dont like using other peoples males, just feels like the work hasnt been done on my part.

Glad to see the stats drop a bit, its part of what drove me off a while ago

Not inbreeding is a personal choice but it's a fad going on atm. I'm part of it so I know.

@Dad, thats cool, was it difficult to start? I've been looking for fresh blood any ways, so I dont think its impossible for me to do.
Did you have a budget to start? Or did you just go slow?

I personally had the budget to retire my king early and add markings to one NCL. However, it does take months to complete as NCLs have very low stats and such. Lots of hunting and activity but it's also a way to keep yourself interested.
