The year is 1853 in Iron River, Colorado with the first signs of spring are appearing after a harsh winter and rumors of gold are rising along with the number of out of town folk from the north and other regions of the young country. People are coming to the unheard of and new town of Iron River, a small cow poke town nestled in the outskirts of the Rocky Mountains and ten miles south of the famous Iron River the town was named after. Legend says the first settlers of the town found the largest nuggets of iron ore around its rocky ledges.

Here in Iron River you have a chance to make a new life for yourself and or your family. There are plenty of opportunities to make for yourself. You can become a homesteader, a barber, an innkeeper, an inn-girl, and so much more. But beware, just as there are plenty of opportunities there are even more dangers to living a rough lifestyle in the most violent and unstable western civilization.
