Hi! I'm pretty new and there is still a lot that I am trying to figure out (color genetics for one, but that's a question for another time). What I'm wondering right now is if it is essentially pointless to use a GMO cow on a 1% fertility lioness? Is the 1% fertility the highest chance of mutation you can get naturally anyway? So would a GMO cow make much of a difference? I'm sorry if I sound completely clueless Thank you for anyone who takes time to answer! I appreciate it!  0 players like this post! Like? |

My understanding of the situation was that, fertility rolls first and then if that fails that GMO COW effect rolls? Though that might be switched as well. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Oops, nvm @ru. Here is the information on GMO Cows right from the developers: GMO cows do not guarantee mutated cubs, they raise a chance significantly. GMO is affecting a random mutation chance, not mutation passing chance. - Lion Meat/GMO cows will work the same no matter what your lion's Fertility is. - Lion Meat/GMO cows work separately from Fertility, meaning, they can affect one cub on its own, and your lioness' fertility can affect another cub in the litter anyway - Cotton Root Bark will override any fertility boost/debuff - GMO cow WILL override CRB's effect BUT it most likely WILL make GMO's mutation rarer if CRB's % triggers. So they benefit each other you could say, IF they both work at the same time. Each item has its own % chance to actually trigger, they may fail however. - GMO Cow will override Bark's % and use cow's % mutation chance BUT the bark might make the mutation super rare. - Leopon passing chance is separate from GMO cow and will roll first - Primal passing chance is separate from GMO cow and will roll after all other items 0 players like this post! Oooh, okay, wow! Thank you so much everyone! I think that I have a much better understanding now! Though I think I definitely still have a lot more learning to do. If I'm understanding correctly, GMO cows greatly increase the mutation chance much more than 1% fert. So is 1% fert worth it? How much can it really help? Also! (I'm sorry for so many questions!) The GMO cow doesn't really increase the chance of Primal passing? 0 players like this post! Like? |

1% isnt really worth it; GMO cow has a lot more chance to produce a mutie, and lioness being 1% doesnt help much. Higher chance that the mutie will be from GMO cow and 1% fertility will just not produce anything decent. GMO cow doesnt at all affect passing chances, just the chance of random mutation appearing in the breeding. From the description, GMO cow rolls before the Primal, so if GMO cow rolls all the muties, Primal will not get a chance to pass at all - so it's better not use them together. 0 players like this post!
