Because length of your fur you can't change (except mane length), but certain items will change your lion's base and markings.

The most basic of these you can find in the oasis, (Base changer, Marking opacity changer, Marking applicator, Random marking applicator, etc.) but they cost GB, a currency you buy with real money to support the game or you can trade valuable items for with other players.

Yes, you can. There is an item called a Base Changer in oasis for 5GB. There are also other base applicators that you can get from other players and/or event shops

Yes you can! You can use applicators for different markings, base, mane colours and even mane shapes.
You can buy the common applicators in the Oasis for GB. There you can also choose to customize your lion which would cost you a 10GB base price with added fees depending on marking numbers and eye colors. You can also get applicators from Events, October, for example has the Infernal markings, Inferno base, Fiery markings, etc, you will be anle to buy them oncewe unlock the tier that have them in the Event tab. You can buy them by using Blood Beetles, one of October's event currency.
You also have the Gorilla Enclave where you have to do one quest a day to gain Monkey Teeth (The Enclave currency), and after you have enough you can buy the marking and eye apps there.
Of course you can also buy any the apps from other users in Branches or the Trading Center ^^
