You pad through the dense snow, feeling the cold powdery substance crunch under your paws and sift through your toes. You need to find shelter fast. It has been many days since you were exiled from your pride, and you have travelled over the mountains to the snowlands. But dangers come with this new place. New animals you have never thought of ever seeing before, like polar bears, roam this land and rule it with an iron paw that you can't fight. And it gets worse. A blizzard is coming soon- you can feel it in your veins. Shelter is necessary, but not even a burrow in the snow has appeared, and food is so scarce you're too hungry and weak to make your own tunnel. After another hour of travel through winds steadily rowing colder, you finally collapse in hunger as snow begins to fall and land on your pelt. Even as the blizzard progresses, you accept death in it's most natural form. But just as your paws begin to go numb and snow covers the top of your body, the familiar voices of lions murmur around you. You are lifted up to your paws, and hoisted onto a lion's back. Snow is shaken off your pelt as you walk. After a short journey, you finally are let down in the warmth of a den. More murmuring voices, and slowly you begin to come to more. "Ah, you're awake." A pure white half-leopard speaks over you, her mismatched eyes meeting yours with relief. "We found you half-frozen right before the blizzard strikes. Since you are alone and clearly had the scent of an exiled lion on you, I'm guessing you want a new pride. Well, her you are. Welcome to the Pride of the Arctic Owls, stranger."
