((Please bear with me while I learn lioden’s coding system))

Thirty years ago, a Great War occurred between mankind and those who are known as the Beasts. The war sent many civilizations toppling to the ground as each side strived for dominance. Eventually, the humans won. With their victory, they banished the beasts from all still-inhabitable lands and set about rebuilding their homes.

History
Thirty years ago a new species emerged out of nowhere. They were dubbed the Beasts and quickly became the target of human societies violence. As the Beasts became more and more populous, they began to build cities and try to integrate with human society. However, after a year of efforts they were struck down by the army of the local human governments. Thus began the war.
Both the humans and Beasts used every weapon at their disposal to fight. Many areas of the land carry heavy scars from this— craters from bombs, radiation, derelict cities, etc. 75% of the world was left uninhabitable for humans from this, and the population of both species declined greatly.
Twenty-five years ago, the humans won the war by defeating the leader of the Beasts and forcing a surrender. All Beasts were then chased into uninhabitable areas with the threat of death if they did not leave.

Plot
You will play as either a Beast or a human. The Beasts goal is to make it to Alaska, from which they can make a jump over to Russia then head to Europe. The humans goal is to stop this group of Beasts and dispose of them for trespassing into human territory.

Locations
Ten major human settlements remain inhabited. They are in Oklahoma, Alaska, Chile, Nigeria, Egypt, Madagascar, Angola, India, Switzerland, and Spain. Smaller settlements are scattered across the globe but none are as technologically advanced as these nor as populous.
Besides these sparse human civilizations, most of the world is uninhabited. There are many radioactive areas that humans cannot venture, as well as ruins of cities. The Beasts roam these lands, defending vast stretches of territory that they call their own.

Humans— Info.
The humans that survived this war are few and far between. Most survivors had rich family or an extreme amount of luck. There are ten major settlements of humans left throughout the planet. Two in North America (Oklahoma and Alaska), one in South America (Chile), four in Africa (Nigeria, Egypt, Madagascar, and Angola), and three in Europe/Asia (India, Switzerland, and Spain). Each society holds a vast amount of territory and defends it fiercely from the Beasts. Each has a varrying number of humans in them but none are over 200 thousand. Overall, there are only about 1 million humans left on earth.
Humans that do not live in these society’s are uncommon but not unheard of. Finding food and keeping yourself safe from Beasts is much more difficult alone.
In the five years since the war ended, the settlements have been doing rather well for themselves. They have ample amounts of food for all of their people as well as homes for them. Their settlements are protected by walls that guards are constantly posted along. Breaking in is difficult.
Humans always carry around an ID card- even those who are living alone. This ID card allows them to access any settlement and it’s resources as well as confirms them not to be a beast.
At the beginning and end of the war, there were humans that believed the Beasts were in the right and defected to their side. These humans are outcast from their own society and have no means to return unless they renounce the Beasts. Their ID cards are unusable.

Beasts— Info.
The beasts are a new species that emerged thirty years ago. No one knows where they came from/how they came about— not even the Beasts themselves. They are formidable creatures but are not actively violent. They possess incredible abilities that allow them to survive even the harshest terrain.
The Beasts currently live in wandering groups scattered throughout the planet. These packs work together to ensure the survival of each member.
The Beasts abilities are limited but amazing. They can turn into a human for one hour, withstand extreme heat and cold, and are impervious to radiation.
All Beasts are able to speak human language and have complex thoughts and emotions as humans do.
Appearance wise, Beasts come in all shapes and forms. They can have as many as ten legs, which can also function as hands. Overall their body shape can be anything from insect-like to mammalian, even a combination of shapes. Their eyes are startlingly human in nature and have our same colors. Their teeth are human, as are their jaws. They stand about the same size as humans, but can be larger or smaller.
Their diet is omnivorous and they can digest all the things humans can.
Beasts are survival machines in all senses, except for in the presence of iron. Iron is toxic to all Beasts for unknown reasons. If it touches their skin it will leave a burn. If it is ingested or gets into their body they can die.
Their main advantage over humans is their odd body shape and extra limbs. They have no physical advantages besides the ones listed above.

Rules
1) Be kind. No bullying, discrimination, or hateful speech will be tolerated. Being rude to characters is fine, but do not be cruel to the players.
2) Keep gore-filled violence to a minimum. I understand you will all be fighting in this RP but there is no need for any graphic descriptions.
3) No killing other’s characters or seriously harming them unless it is previously discussed with that player. (Note: if your character does die you are free to make a new one).
4) Nothing ridiculous with the Beasts. Forty arms and the strength to lift cars is not something a Beast can do. If you have a question please ask me.
5) No mature content. If you want to do act that out with your characters take it somewhere else.
6) No controlling others characters, dictating what they can or cannot do, or just generally being unfun to RP with.
7) Lioden’s ruled apply.
8) Try to post at least every-other day. If a week goes by without hearing from you I will send you a message. If I don’t hear back from you in three days then your character(s) will be booted until you return. If you need to be gone for any significant amount of time let me know so I can work it into the RP!

Post Format
Put content warnings for any severe violence or themes (severe violence = cannot be fixed in ten minutes/ causes significant harm or pain to the character).
Make sure to list your characters name, race, and general location at the top of each post. This will help others keep track of who is doing what.
