Leave us the option to retire the king without having him as a Grandpaw, just like it had been before this new feature was introduced. As I see, this new thing still has some issues like messed heritage and disappearing name/bio (I suppose it will be fixed someday, but I don't want to be affected by this - those aspects are important for me). Also it would be an option if someone wants to play more realistically (or just cruel) and just "take over the throne". |

The method Sasa mentioned does effectively exactly this - when I recently retired my king I didn’t want a grandpaw so I just immediately retired to dynasty. A couple of extra clicks and about 10 seconds of effort for the player seems more efficient than staff having to code the whole thing to make it optional tbh. Once you retire to dynasty it’s exactly the same as it used to be before grandpaws were introduced, and in fact it even solved the glitches mentioned - once retired the original bio reappeared and heritage sorted itself out, so those temporary glitches shouldn’t be a problem for those who don’t want grandpaws. 0 players like this post! The bio and heritage glitches are fixed and there is a way to retire Grandpaw completely. I don't really understand why having a Grandpaw is that big a deal as he does help with training and one of the options discussed on the thread is that there is a way for Grandpaw to change a cub's personality, among many other benefits. As far as I'm concerned, now that those two glitches are fixed there are no detriments to Grandpaw. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 05/01/18 @ 17:06:54 by Entity404 (#107570) |

The Grandpaw takes up a submale slot, though, which is kind of disappointing. I already had my slots filled and I liked those lions the way they were. 0 players like this post! Like? |

The News Post said that Grandpaws lions get their own slot. It's gotta be a bug that he's taking up a submale slot. I reported it when I saw it on my own page. 0 players like this post! Like? |
