So this just crossed my mind today (because one of my old girls is in heat and she's almost 14 years old) but what if there was a chance for ladies that are over the age of 12 years old and still breed-able that when they get pregnant and have cubs, there's a small, and let me emphasis small (like 5% give or take), chance that she could die at birth?

In real life the older you are when you get pregnant and have children the higher risk you are for having complications, and that's not different for animals. And since the ladies can die anywhere from 14 to 16 years old (I think 16, none of mine have ever made it that far anyway), being pregnant 12+ years could increase that chance.

If you disagree, let me know why ^^ or what your views on it are, just please be polite as this is just an idea <3

Ahh well I don't support mainly because you can breed around 14 years old, (Well at least my lioness got pregnant at 14 yrs old.) And died at 15. Although I do find it interesting when you said, "there's a small, and let me emphasis small (like 5% give or take), chance that she could die at birth?" That sounds interesting...Like realistic. I kind of like it ^^ Especially if they live past 14 years old and you try to breed them! :o

Thanks @Dawnibles! And I'm not sure what the age is for when you can last breed them. I've had some that I can breed at 13 y 5m and then I get a 14 year old and she can't breed :/

Me neither but maybe the age limit for breeding them is 14...but I'll test that theory (because I got a 14yr 10m old girl that's about to be in heat soon -u-) xD I bred with a 14yr...let's see how far I can go xD! But maybe change it to lioness over 13? or maybe 14? Then like when their 14 or 15 then the risk of them dying comes. Or it could be 15 since most lionesses die around that age anyways :( But I may change my vote ^^

I like this suggestion! Also, I think the chance should be like 10% instead of 5%

I'm neutral on this because although it is realistic, I have an eyeless girl who is pretty old and I'd rather not have her die. Also, what would happen to the cubs? It may cause a lot of problems, specifically in reverse breeding. People would rather breed to a younger lioness than an older one because, what happens if the lioness dies?

Ahh well maybe in reverse breeding terms, maybe take her off of availability of reverse breeding when she hits a certain age?

no support.
If I have a nice female that I am trying to get something specific out of, I do not want her to die before it is her time to retire.

That would basically be changing the breeding limit from 14 years to 12 years though? ^^'

Lionesses cannot be bred if they are 14 years and 1 month old and older. They die randomly between 15-15.11 years. They absolutely die at 16 years old.

I do not support this. Yes, it is realistic but it can cause a tremendous amount of complications for people. Most leopons breeders breed until the pon is 14.1 years old. Most lion breeders do it. I just see a lot of complications to this. Sorry but no support

No support... Because cubs would die to ;-;

Also lioness can breed until they are 14. At 14.1 they can lo longer breed. And lioness don't die until 15 and later

Often people leave their most valuable breeding (highest stats, fully customized, lots of expensive breeding items) to their final heat in hopes of the best litter. It would be heart breaking to see all that effort for the last 13 game years go to waste if she died.

Also what about those who intend to freeze their lioness after she is past breeding age? I don't have it yet, but I plan to make a memorial lioness, breed her, and then freeze her once she can't breed anymore. I would be beyond pissed if she ended up dying randomly on me like that.
